That’s partially correct, as a bar owner I’ll tell you: That’s why certain glasses are made for certain type of beers. And now, about the pouring it’s the part were he is partially correct but still pouring it half way of foam is incorrectly. That’s just an old trick. Foam must be 1/4 TOPS not 1/2. That’s just wrong.

It ain’t quicker, you have to then top it off later to fill the glass, once the heads gone down.. Germany literally drops the beer from up high and you then you have to wait for the bartender to then fill the glass.. I used to order two pints at a time as it’s not like the UK, wham bam thank you mam.. In the UK we are allowed to put shit in it like sulphides, anti foaming agents and the like.. Slower is better..clean beer gives you less chance of a hangover in the morning.. Drinking less also, but that misses the point! Lol 😂

As an american to pour beer and ot will either have all the co2 left or be mostly foam Learned: dont let americans pur your beer, learn how to properly pour beer in 5m and do it forever... 3 steps, a careful mainpour at a shallow angle for half the beer... Wait 30 sec until the beer calmed down Second step Go to 45 degrees glass, pour in another 25%-30% beer for a prefoaming and wait until the foam settled Let rest of the beer slowly rinse in a near standing cup. Be left with good carbon to beerhead ratio
