@Some FellaMarxist definition is good enough, the criticism of Adam Smith´s free market, the actual social classes based on economic capital. Then there´s Bourdieu´s cultural capital, the effect of which is largely invisible in today´s culture.

This is like pouring sugar into the tank, no engine could keep running on such fuel as the sugar in the liquid (Cola) caramelizes after which the engine simply stops working because the engineparts are being obstructed (glue'd together if you will) by the sticky syrup.

The incentives were different for USSR engineers vs engineers in capitalist countries. They succeeded if they made a car that requires the least amount of repair/cost and therefore burden on society. I remember the Lada adverts we used to have on tv here in the UK - must have been back in the late 70's. They showed the Lada climbing over rocks and running through a shallow river, basically showing how tough the Lada's were. Russian cities look very weird, is there like no planning and they just put buildings everywhere?

@SwapBlogRU5 жыл бұрын
Where do I start... In the Soviet Union cities were planned out based on the premise that not a lot of people will have their own personal cars. Since capitalism came to Russia some 30 odd years ago, the old plans have obviously become irrelevant, and construction is all over the place now. The Soviet city plans were bad to begin with, and the situation with businesses trying to make money by building cheap housing with total disregard for common sense (but, weirdly, in line with the local laws) has made things even worse. Traffic jams are a huge problem in Moscow, where I'm from, to the point where I just don't use my car during certain hours (I bought it for my own pleasure, not as a means of transportation, so really no worries there, I'm totally cool with using the metro or taking a bus if I need to get somewhere). And I prefer to get home after running errands as early as possible due to a lack of parking spaces. I'm actually thinking about moving away from Moscow due to the current situation, to the kind of suburbs within an hours drive from the capital. Situation's pretty bad.

so basically cola doesnt mix with petrol and is heavier, so the cola sinks to the bottom of the gas tank and as the fuel pickup is at the bottom of the tank, it just sucks pure cola into the engine, which cannot then run. get the cola out and youre good to go again.
@StofStuiver5 жыл бұрын
Thats what i was thinking. If youd use some agent that allows a water and oily faction to mix, then it might keep running (poorly).

1. Can you fix the cola poisoning by dumping ethanol into the tank? 2. Can you get the exhaust to blow bubbles by injecting soapy water into the exhaust side? 3. What will strong soapy water solution in the fuel do? Well it bind to the fuel? Will the fuel still burn?
@Monni955 жыл бұрын
1. Ethanol doesn't dissolve sugar from the fuel filter, it would still be clogged. 2. I'm pretty sure the gas flow in exhaust is too fast for blowing bubbles 3. Water or any solution of water not containing alcohol will not bind to normal fuel.

So I googled to see if it’s okay to put Coke into your car, after seeing a clickbait ad showing someone pouring Coke into a petrol tank saying find out how to increase fuel efficiency by 55%. No way was I going to click on that. I remain convinced it’s a really bad idea. I’ve seen what it does to coins. Would love to see the car run after the Coke eats through the petrol tank. But a Lada, okay why not? Never really liked those anyway, although I’ve always felt they were probably indestructible. Just don’t bring your Coke anywhere near my ‘99 Corolla thank you.

Coca Cola is not explosive so when it reaches the engine it won't work because it wont explode, you might try something flammable with high content of alcohol like vodka, maybe tuning the air/fuel mixture it works fine with only vodka in the fuel tank. 6:01 So you mean that putting cola in my friends empty car tank is a good joke? :P
@rootbeer6665 жыл бұрын
As they explained that fine filter is oily after use with petroleum fuel, so it doesn't let water through. Alcohol doesn't easily separate from water so it will probably just get backed up in the filter and stall the car ('cause normal fuel wouldn't be reaching the engine either).
