This deeply touched me, I’d forgotten how empowering it was to get my first bank account. I remember when I first escaped exploitation I didn’t even know what a bank was and I went to the library to find out. It’s so hard to become independent when you grow up without control of your life. She is an inspiration!

Just because of my negative self talk and my believes. While I have all the freedom to be who I want and to do whatever I want. Thats a privilege. And I should use that. I am not crying!! I LOVED this story and it inspired me so much to take action also. The part where she told that her parents had always been proud of her for never saying no to anything, floored me, as that is precise the same situation for me my entire life (and I am from Denmark). I have just rescently within the last 5 years been able to say no, and thinking of my own priorities

Sail in the same boat.. Have a joint acct with my husband If i need money... gotto ask fr it.. with an explanation fr it... Hv been a housewife since i hv been married .. with an excuse tht kids need u more than u gng out ad working... Taking ownership is more easily said than done... especially when u hv ur fly to keep together for greater peace Loads of luv t u Ritika ... India
