As a manga reader this episode was amazing.Although, the episode wasn't the full chapter, the added filler and flashback was great. Loved seeing the seraphim animated and in action and the way they were introduced was better than manga in terms of the shock effect of s-snake backhanding sweepea, which wasn't in the manga. Can't wait to see your reaction to the nonstop peak coming.

At least now we know Yamato only stayed behind to cover Wano; especially since the flashback revealed that Luffy Actually Did Approve & Accept Yamato in coming along as a new pirate member of the Straw Hats!!!!!! The only way Yamato can join up is if someone took her place to guard Wano (besides the shogun/scabbards). IF ONLY IZOU SURVIVED THE WAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A Whitebeard commander would be a perfect protector of Wano; just like Marco is doing for Sphinx!!!! {Whitebeard's home}. The next best person I could think of would be Drake (Yamato & Hyogoro could vouch for him & since he's a Navy SWORD {meaning that they're like a splinter cell for the Navy}, he can be dispatched anywhere). *** And It would be such a cool dynamic addition to have in the crew with a Female Powerhouse Frontrunner that could match the same prowess with the Pirate King's Wings + Warlord that would lead the charge alongside Luffy - At least Oda has confirmed that Yamato "still intends to join the Straw Hats in the future," so she's indeed definitely in a Jinbe situation.

Honestly hope not Yamato is a pretty boring character with no real interactions with the crew or either reason for coming outside of wanting to be somone else. Personally I think the reason why Oda bunched Yamato hear was because he realised there wasn't much he could do with the character in the reaming arcs and would rather focuse on other characters.

@@thomaszimmer371 Albeit actually, someone awhile ago brought this up & pointed out how when it comes to "identity" & the Straw Hats, it's surprising how often the two concepts are paired: Franky & Cutty Flam, technically Usopp & Sogeking, and also technically Sanji & his Vinsmoke~Germa name; so Yamato & the Oden identity wouldn't exactly be a problem {rather it makes her more like the Straw Hats. It could even be Yamato's own quirk just like the others have}. Besides, Oda really did hit it out of the park though with his creation of Kozuki Oden; practically the whole entire fandom fell in love with Oden's entire essence of his character, so it wouldn't be that bad to have it continue to live on (I mean heck Yamato is even more similar/like Oden than his own actual kids)

​@@4wheal An idea I had for what she could be done off-screen is that Yamato could learn Oden Sword Style from Inuarashi & Nekomamushi. Even though she's a club wielder, she has been shown that her club can perform slash attacks; if not she could learn to use the style with just her ice wolf claws as Nekomamushi did the same thing too with his Oden One Sword Style attack. BESIDES in regard to the no interaction thing, the same was with Jinbe too with only Luffy until they got more interactions later on. And the reason wasn't just wanting to become someone else (albeit wanting to become someone is essentially Usopp's dream too of wanting to become a brave sea warrior {like his dad Yasopp}); coincidentally both Oden & Yamato were technically imprisoned in Wano & both had a reason/dream to explore the outside world

vegapunk was totally crazy and brilliant when it came to creating the seraphim I still have a hard time understanding what the hell Blackbeard is planning in general. I don't know if he wants to depetrify someone or if he was just after Hancock's powers.....although can you imagine him trying to use her powers? ew! But I give credit to Blackbeard. He takes much more damage from the fruit and with the color of the weapon he could withstand a hit from the mini Mihawk. He may not have strength like the original but he is a Lunarian pacifist. weak is definitely not

Probably at specific times though. Boa was a former slave in which her Lineage Factor was taken during her youth. Mihawk would’ve given his lineage factor either if he was captured in the past or when he ascended to Warlord status. Those are the closets possibilities, while the rest (yet to be seen in anime) would’ve had their lineage factors taken upon warlord ascension or through their respective history with the WG (a la Kuma and Doflamingo). Can’t wait for more action from these beasts.

I'm guessing they just told them it was part of either being protected from the og Kuma pacifistas or part of being a warlord.
