Good to be reminded about the ICJ ruling last July 19 of Israel's illegal occupation and apartheid and the UN deadline for Israel to remove its presence from all Palestinian territory by September 25, 2025.

Thank you for your insightful and reasoned presentation - but I do take issue with you regarding "self defence" - whether that great defender of human rights, (China) maintains that for an oppressed people any form of self-defence is legitimate - as a non-Zionist Israeli I still am troubled by Palestinian commentators who refuse to admit that on October 7 Hamas committed a massacre against women and children, the aged and destroyed whole communities. I think there needs to be a lot more thought about what consistutes "self defence", the limits of legitimate resistence by non-state actors and state actors alike if we are all ever to get out of this mess! Thank you again
