At my school, before I started, there was a kid that beat up a kid so much that he actually nearly died. Like, he was barely hanging on by a thread. He had lots of cuts and wounds, both eyes black and he was FILLED with bruises. Most of his ribs were broken, a lung punctured, multiple other broken bones, etc. All because the guy heard the poor kid he beat up wrong in class one day, thinking he called him the N word when the kid was just talking about his neighbour. The aggressor disappeared without a trace after that, nobody knows what happened to him. His house was suddenly empty, no moving trucks or anything. His entire family and every trace of him was just gone. It's a cautionary tale of sorts where I live, and the kid who got beat up recovered but still has some nasty scars. I'm pretty sure he's a kindergarten teacher now.

In my old High School, someone ran a facebook page that featured nudes of multiple girls in the school. It was taken down extremely quickly but would keep resurfacing. Then finally they took it down for good and it didn’t come back up. Think they found the guy who was doing it. I wan’t involved and only really heard about it secondhand, but one of the girls who bullied me in elementary school had her pictures put up on it. She even talked to me about it directly and I overheard her crying in front of my art teacher at lunch. My mom told me to pray for her when we were in elementary school and I prayed that something bad would happen to her, rather than praying for her to be a better person. I’m not saying I think that was the cause of this incident, but I did feel more bad than I would have had I just prayed for her to be better person.

I have a story: Two married middle school teachers were caught having an affair with the other. The worst part? The male teacher's wife was also a teacher, working at the high school like ten minutes away. She would regularly go and have lunch with him and the other middle school teachers, including the woman she didn't know was her husband's mistress. I had only vaugely heard about the incident in middle school because I hadn't had either of the affair partners' classes and was in my last year when the news broke. But you know who's class I was in? The now divorced wife's! She was my teacher four years later. She seemed to be doing well for herself and was one of my favorite teachers for one of my worse subjects. I did terrible in the class- I wasn't joking about the 'worst subject' part- but it was fun. I distinctly remember her recommending the jocks sit by the door so that if a school shooter tried to come in, they would jump them while the rest of us used our five pound hardback textbooks as blunt force throwing weapons.

I went to a german Gymnasium making Abitur in 1996. I witnessed two female teachers use physical violence. One hit a class mate, because the group was noisy. She just hit into the crowd and slapped the one with the best grades. A crafts teacher was kept teaching after her teacher husband divorced her. He was some kind of science teacher, way more high ranking than her. Her children sided with him as he would provide a more comfortable life. She saw the three every day and it broke her. We knew she was mentally ill just by how she was. She came barefoot in Birkenstock slip ins all year round. Even in winter. And she could kick off with very little reason. I couldn't put the yarn spool into the sewing machine blind, so I bowed down and looked and she pulled me out by the hair. Then she processed what she had just done and started begging for forgiveness. I did understand. But she kept giving me little gifts, leather left overs, yarn, a rubber, that kind of things. I always told her not to do that. But I never told with anyone else about it. We had a tall big teacher hold a kid out of a third storey window. There was more but little consequences to teachers ever.

I'm a paraprofessional. While working in a high school a pretty big theft ring was uncovered. A group of students would steal items, put them in unused lockers, and lock them up. It had been going on for quite a while until one of them forgot their phone charger. With their cellphone dead they decided to use one of the school Chromebooks to communicate with others in the theft ring on their discord server. The school chromebooks are on the school internet and carefully monitored. That activity was quickly flagged by the algorithm, confirmed by online security, and passed along to the school admin and police. The police came in after school one day. With admin they had to go locker by locker double checking if they were registered to a student, if it was a student potentially involved in the theft ring, or if it was an unregistered locker being used to store stolen property. I never found out what happened to the students involved, but they had thousands of dollars in stolen goods stashed in the school.

I am probably in part to blame for showing how easy software distribution was at school, but a pair of twins went around and sent people a Google drive of pirated content. The twins were probably expelled, but I can't remember exactly what happened.

At my high school were two incidents: 1. A teacher having an affair with a teenage (minor) student. 2. This one needs some context: the high school I went to was in a small town, our high school was in quick walking distance from the elementary/middle school, and so some of the teachers overlapped between the two because they could. That said, the incident: One of the PE teachers who taught at both schools was arrested for putting hidden cameras in the girls' bathrooms at the elementary/middle school to film the girls peeing.

Some dude who was apparently a former student ended up in a 2+ hour long armed standoff with police right outside the school following a car chase that put us on lockdown. Some time later we heard some loud sounds and turns out they’d flashbanged and arrested the guy without any deadly exchange of gunfire. Oh yeah also one teacher at my former elementary school went to jail for using and selling meth. Dude was a good enough guy, just unfortunately got addicted. Edit 2: god damn we also had a race war come to think of it. There was enough French black kids to form a friend group and a good % of the school were Samoans. During a cultural assembly, one of the French black kids says something super racist towards one of the Samoans and both groups just start beating each others asses for a good minute straight.

Middle School: A female student heard a rumor, which turned out to be false, that a friend of hers was sleeping with her boyfriend. She came to school with one of those heavy cane umbrellas with the pointed tip the next day and ambushed the girl while she was waiting to be seen by the guidance counselor. Girl with the umbrella nearly beat to death the other girl before anyone intervened. Two male students decided to carry out a hit (or whatever it’s called when one student pays another to hurt someone) on another male student. They ambushed him in the corner stairs while their friends held the doors shut. The beat down was caught on camera. The two boys who did the ambushing got absolutely demolished by the boy they tried to jump and ended up in the hospital. The victim was expelled for “violently defending” himself. A girl who lived one street over from me and went to my school but never interacted with me didn’t come home one night after going to a friend’s house for a party. They found her body in the passenger seat of a truck that had been driven down the boat ramp at the seafood restaurant at the end of my neighborhood road. The driver was also in the truck. He was the best friend of the older brother of the kid who threw the party. The investigation eventually revealed that the driver had been rejected a couple of times over the last few weeks by the girl because she was into his friend. The driver apparently had been invited to the party as well and spent the night ignoring the girl. When she lost her ride, he offered to drive her home. It’s unclear if she accepted herself or was forced to accept by someone else. But they apparently left the party together and based on the autopsy of the bodies it was concluded that the girl was manhandled in the truck-arm grabbed, cheek bruised, cut on her lip-but not sexually assaulted. She had traces of a roofie drug in her system so the conclusion is that the driver forced her to drink something that knocked her out, got rid of the evidence on the drive-probably tossing it out a window-and then drove her back to her neighborhood and straight into the water. It was never released if the driver was fully awake during the drowning or if he also took something to knock himself out so he wouldn’t feel the pain. This poor girl wasn’t even 14 yet and this 16 or 17 year old boy killed them both over a rejection he rightfully deserved. She was way too young for him.

Man, the "violent defense" hits right home... I wasn't expelled, but got into trouble with the school (which the school itself swept under the rug because the "elite" school didn't want any scandals to harm their rep) I was attacked by five guys (they were in 7th grade, i was in 5th) and when teacher got them off me the "leader" decided to "show a dominance" and went to confront me literally 2 minutes later with two girls in tow. Got hit by a phone (brick-like Nokia. It was in 2005) and got stitches on his shaved skull. School decided that i was the bad guy and tried to get me in trouble, but several male teachers supported me (they were in a minority over the chicken coop of female teachers who tried to get me in trouble and apparently their voices had more weight) so i basically only had a verbal warning. No one bothered me after that (except for the girls, but i never used violence against them and now i think that they maybe were trying to get my attention or something.)

I went to a high school that was years 7-12, at least 300 kids in each year, around 1500 kids over all. When ie as in year 7, we were put into lockdown because of some ex students coming onto site with baseball bats. Year 8, a kid got arrested on site at lunch for becoming violent and yelling racial slurs, he was expelled, but we weren’t put on lockdown ether. Year 10 to stop students from vaping, the schools removed the bathroom doors (keeping the stalls), they were put back on the next day after a student ran passed the principals office yelling “pedofile!” We weren’t told about it till all doors were removed. They also locked the bathroom doors a lot. I over heard that the school was going to put vape detectors in the bathroom and it would lock the door if someone was vaping, as well as putting a camera in the bathroom to hear/see if people were vaping (it never happened to my knowledge). I also heard that someone lit a bin in one of the bathrooms on fire. The year I left I heard that some people came into site, stole uniform, left, came back and assaulted a teacher. Before I went to the school some kid who was being bullied stabbed his bullies. My year group would constantly yell out slurs and the school did nothing. As well as when the boys would harass me, they just talked to them and that’s it really, didn’t stop till they found out I used he/they pronouns. I’m glad I left that school, I don’t know how people still go to it

The big one during my time was that while I was in marching band, it was found out that marching band instructor had been sleeping with a student. They did things in his secluded office, at his house, and I think at her house, but I can't remember. So, the sleeping with a student thing isn't that crazy. Obviously, it is awful and never should happened. However, he had come to us from a different school. It soon came out that he left that school because HE GOT CAUGHT DOING THE SAME THING. Instead of firing him and contacting the authorities, they gave him the option to quietly resign and they wouldn't press charges. Oh, and the student he was sleeping with at the first school? He married her once she turned 18 and she helped out with our marching band often. I felt so bad for her. And this all happened 2 years after the first marching band instructor, that had been there since before my mom was in college, got fired because a student that had nothing to do with band had falsely accused him of inappropriate touching during a rehearsal.

I also spent some time in school in Miami (it was middle school) some kids got into a fight and one pushed the other into the garbage disposal. We had to evacuate to cafeteria. Dw he ended up being alright (he’s alive at least)

Listening to the beloved teacher couple where the man had an affair, the whole time I kept thinking "at least the affair was with another teacher" and as it went on, crossed my fingers and sighed. Nope.

10:15 A buddy of mine had this experience. We were leaving for a multi-school summer trip to Japan and he got caught up at the Airport bc a couple weeks prior he had said something on Facebook. I think the gist of the post was "Someone should just kill the bastard already" and he commented something along the lines of "give me a gun". Two homeland security agents, an interview, and a call to his dad later, they figured out he was just some kid, and he was allowed to go on the trip. Holy shit though, all of us were scared as fuck by what happened

I was friends with this kid who was close to getting expelled from his school. He got caught hitting a w**d pen in the bathrooms (again) and was sent to the principal's office. The principal told him to give him the pen. This mad lad goes "Aight. Let me hit it one more time", takes one last big hit from the pen right in front of the principal and handed it over. The principal's reaction was a simple sigh as he watched the kid blow it out. I guess he was just happy it was one of the ones that didn't leave much of a smell behind.

In my last year of high school, I went to the day's first class to find out a traffic cone inside the classroom. Like, not some small indicator they use in sports, an actual traffic cone. Had no idea who did this, how they did it and what this cone was even doing here. Much later in the year, we're returning from a small field trip when one of my classmates spots a tire left alone, most likely a bus one given it was right at a stop, and pretty large. The kid proceeded to cross the road, take it, make it back to us, and then enter the school with the tire hidden under his coat, and then proudly add it to our "treasure room" (which by that point was filled with drawings of all sorts). Eventually the whole mess got taken away, no one got in trouble. That’s about the closest to illegal stuff I've seen happen directly in my class room

My dad worked at a school where a group of bullies shoved a kid in front of a bus, killed him... in front of loads of kids waiting at the bus stop, staff supervising and people walking by and they didn't even get detention

My favorite story from my school was a kid who was distributing drugs in my high school. This happened 94-95ish. His locker had a crap load of weed and coke. When they searched his van off campus he had several other drugs in amounts necessary for being necessary for distribution. But the best part. They tow his van as we are all at lunch. We were able to leave campus to go to a McDonald's that was next to the school. Dudes van was parked in the McDonald's backlot. As they started to pull it onto the tow truck its back doors swung open leading to a hidden compartment to open dumping out a brick of coke and a bag full of crack baggies. Best part he was a senior and 18. I think he ended up turning state evidence because I never heard anything about it afterwards. Needless to say he vanished forever after and the school hired two of the undercover cops that helped set up the case as admins

Yeah, the one about the girl who got SA by a bunch of senior boys.. whether she was at the time competent to consent or not, shes 14. She is not considered legally competent. The DA should 100% have pressed charges on those boys, especially if they were over 18. Its disgusting that they were just allowed to get away with that.

not my high school but my Middle School (This was in the USA) The School failed to make IEP Meetings with everyone who needs to be there. This one kid I'll call Braden (in a MS dating level with one kid), had naked pictures of another kid, and in 3rd hour science, a class Braden wasn't even in, he was showing people pictures on his phone when he accidentally showed that. Braden didn't even get detention which I'm still amazed about, the person he was MS dating was really sad, and the person who was in the pictures had to leave because the rumor spread quick, partially thanks to me and a few other people telling others about what happened. the person in the pictures didn't know until 4th hour which was after lunch. BRADEN SOMEHOW DIDN'T GET IN TROUBLE AND WAS STILL THERE WHEN I LEFT!

Well, from toddler age we're all told that if something happens that we don't like, we're to tell a trusted adult like: clergy, law enforcement, teachers, a "trusted adult". The problem is, most "trusted adults" are the ones victimizing kids. The band teacher at my son's middle/ high school was caught having sent 500+ text messages, back & forth, with a 5th or 6th grader. I kinda wanna set him alight. But i won't. It's not my place (had it been my kid, though).

That thing about the principal buying the CP:Pretty sure NO CONTRACT EXISTS that will make it illegal to report a crime like that. Any contract that would do something like that is pretty much automatically void in that case to my understanding.

42:44 I didn't realize it was the Ashley Reeves case until they mentioned the line dancing, he left her to die & she was barely holding on when the police found her but she pulled through & had to relearn so much. She's doing well as of 2024 I believe. Update, Samson Shelton is out on parole after 17 years, he was only sentenced to 20 years when he nearly killed Ashley Reeves 😡 Why was he released early!? (Correction, she may not be doing as well since he was let out in April this year)

Got suspended once in middle school because I refused to do situps in front of the art teacher's desk, which he only wanted me to do because I was wearing a skirt, and despite it being plenty long enough, he claimed he was punishing girls for dress code violations. He did this to every girl in the class whenever they wore skirts. Even when their shorts clearly violated code, he never said a thing. Creepasss
