Video Idea to make Greg Happy and stav off more cursed cocktails: it's a Wheel, Skull, and Dice episode where Greg needs to make a cocktail using randomized ingredients using the "Golden Ratio": 2 of Strong, 1 of Sweet, 1 of Sour (and a garnish). The Wheel has a bunch of spirits, the Skull has a liquors, and Greg will need to roll some dice in order to randomly pick a source of sourness. also a fourth thing in order to decide a garnish. this can potentially make something good tasting (An Earthy Whisky+Coffee Liquor+Lemon Juice with a flamed orange peel) or make something Evil (Mezcal+Peppermint Schnapps+Orange Juice with an olive).

Yeah, I'd never thought of doing that, but while decent pickling cucumbers are still around, I may well knock up a jar or two and see what they're like.

Ehh. If you're literally out of ideas; I'd personally still want a taste-test of making common drinks from good quality ingredients vs cheap quality vs "light" ingredients vs "just make it from scratch and add as much sugar as you want to". I've found some very nice low-sugar (&no sweetners) drinks... but I also have some friends who claim that cheap alcohol + cheap mixer tastes exactly same as expensive alcohol + expensive mixer... Rum&coke, Gin&tonic, Mojito, etc.

A Cursed Cocktail from one of my sister in-law's friends who went to college: "The Russian Coffee" fresh Cold-Pressed but you sub the Water for Everclear. the product is ~80% ABV Coldbrew Coffee and it was their "Hair of the Dog". but at that point hair of the dog no longer cuts it and enter a new classification that should be dubbed "Scale of the Dragon". There is no mention of watering down the Everclear so I imagine that if you drink this evil brew it would be like your body taking a screenshot.

Joining in the requests for the return of the "actually good" drinks videos :) I miss the days when I could go to HTD for new cool recipes once in a while. Even if it's all original creations, even better! Also how have you never heard of orange wine before!? It's been pretty much the no.1 trendy think to drink around me for the last couple of years.

The pickle shine reminds me of something from Brink, a game no one remembers from the 360 days but anyway they have something called Saltshine because it’s a floating slum in the ocean, they make alcohol from seawater and blighted crops. Wrecks you obviously.

I may be missing something in the catalog but I would love an Amaro episode 🥺. So many diverse bottles to try out and make cocktails with. I've even made my own Amari with mixed success. Maybe an episode going over your bitters catalog and recommending/ showing us how to make bitters. I've only made Jasmine/wormwood bitters myself but they go lovely on top of a corpse reviver.

A new "strange flavor" that I just heard of is 1 part fireball, and 3 parts pineapple juice... It is supposed to taste like Pumpkin Pie? Haven't tried it, but might be interesting for the Autumn season.

Idk if these longer episodes are for everybody but honestly I absolutely love being able to sit down for a while and watch something like this. Even if I can't watch it all at once I like being able to come back to it later too

Hey Greg! Love the channel. The thing about the last string of videos though is that they seem to be a guide for “how NOT to drink” rather than how to drink. While it’s funny to have an occasional, “these are really bad drinks” video, I also think that there are only so many versions of that concept you can pull before it becomes very samey-samey. Just my own thought there.

This. Love the channel, but it's the kind of concept that after a while becomes repetitive, especially if one isn't interested to the canned/bottled stuff topic. I'd rather see an episode trying particularly interesting soft drinks, but I'm afraid that being EU based that would feel pointless too
@shaneantun9782 жыл бұрын
Greg, you should make your own rendition of a David Martinez from Cyberpunk. They added it in with the new Edgerunners update.

Even though it's just a bit, I'd love to see your opinions on some of the "stranger" alcohols out there, Ice Wine, Airag, Tepache, Arrak, Mamajuana, Soju, as well as your thoughts on using them in mixology.

Why don’t you do episodes where you let’s us viewers and fans send in recipes for original cocktails and you can select ones you like or think are interesting and try making them it making your own take on the idea for an episode?

@adon214 Жыл бұрын
Two things i can recommend if you want ideas is looking at old bar recipe books. The stuff from the 70's is hilarious! My favorite line from one i read in a antique stare was "If one of your party goers is too drunk to drive make them this." Proceeds to give a drink recipe with ounce after ounce of liqour. But one thing i think would be interesting to take on is finger foods/appetizers for hosting a drinking get together. If I do recall appetizers were a good part of TIKI bar culture as well as the drinks. Also hello from another Greg.... I am also a Greg. Gregception!
