When I saw you buy the tuxedo coat in Paris it reminded me of a coat I had bought 23 years ago so I went on a hunt and found it in the back of a wardrobe and I tried it on and miraculously it still fits. I had completely forgotten I owned it.

I have been watching your channel for a long time. Since you brought up the issue of naysayers,I’d like to offer my point of view for your consideration. It goes without saying that you are free to spend your money as you see fit. However,it is somewhat disingenuous to say you are simply mixing high end & low ends items to achieve a unique style. The boots alone are close to $4000 and as luxury items the message is that they are highly desired & “unique.” The past few videos you have put out are more about quantity. They are also quality but that is more about the $$$$ value. You are well aware that these items are out of the range of most of your viewers. It is obvious you are celebrating access to a certain fashion legitimacy you have gained. Just be honest about it. That access is unequivocally tied to your ability to purchase & showcase designer items.

Really? You really think people are coming on her videos to hate? It's more likely that these people have been watching her for years. You know, back when she was showing 90% vintage/thrift stuff. Now, it's 90% luxury/designer. Their criticism is fine and valid as long as it's respectful. Only an idiot ignores criticism that they don't like. If you want to surround yourself in an echo-chamber with "yes men/women" who only sing your praises, it won't help you grow or have a larger picture of your fanbase. Most of the comments here, like yours, are just parroting each other. I've watched Karen for years and I'm happy for her success. At the same time, I no longer relate to her videos at all where before I used to. I don't go to Paris every other week and stay in 5 star hotels where I buy 10k worth of luxury items for fun and then play beer pong with Beyonce at ultra exclusive parties with the stars. And I remember wondering why you didn't have more subscribers. That has changed. A lot 😁 Your style has evolved. Awesome Karen, play on playa, I have learned so much from your videos and TIK TOK shorts and Instagram. I am a plus size girl, and sometimes it can be hard to find my "wish list'. But I decided to just throw away my own "plus" restrictions, and try on everything. I feel at times that people hold "clothing items" as a banner to shame. But not you. I literally restructured my whole closet, (at the advice of your video about purging your closet) I am buying pieces I love regardless of whatever the "current" style. I make sure they fit me and enhance me. I don't want to spend recklessly on clothes anymore, they aren't that important, but I will buy those pieces that I will wear all the time because they make me happy. Your clothing choices make you happy and I appreciate that.

So, Karen, I think you’re amazing and I’m happy for your success. However, I think you may be misunderstanding some of your criticism. You’ve completely rebranded to extreme luxury which isolates some of your old fans, myself included. I’ve been watching you for 3 years. At this point I’m less interested in the $100,000 of luxury items you’ve bought this year and more interested in The Who, what, when, where, why? Who is flying you out to these fashion shows? Why are you invited? Are you actually someone’s stylist? How did a KZbin fashion blogger get invited to Beyoncé’s party? How are you getting paid the extreme amount just from youtube sponsors? I think if you explained that instead of just saying “oh yeah I met Beyoncé no big deal. Here’s a $4000 bag I picked up just because it was a different color!” Then ppl would understand your rebrand. Because I’m honestly confused. You’ve seemingly jumped into a whole other tax bracket by miles in like 1 year.

The Ouest apron pants are really cool. I noticed them in your previous vlog. From Nice Piece Vintage, it's great that you bought that black coat with the strips. It looked as if it were made for you. Perfection. The long black tuxedo coat is also beautiful. And I absolutely love the vintage brown belt with all of the studs. Paris has really good vintage and regular resale-type boutiques. One that I used to go to was Didier Ludot in the Jardin du Palais Royal on the Right Bank and also to quite a few nice shops on the Left Bank as I'm a Left Bank person and usually stay in the 6th. Yikes.... about the boot in Milan getting stuck on your foot. You're lucky you didn't pop your knee as I once did when I pulled off one of my cowboy boots and didn't use my boot jack. It was late at night, I was tired, and pulled the boot off and pop went the knee. Torn medial meniscus. I've had boot jacks for decades. My dad and granddad had boot jacks and I only buy the wooden ones trimmed in suede. I keep two at home and one in my car and when I go shopping for boots, I have it with me. Cavender's has boot jacks for as low as $17.00 as I have two of them. And Old Gringo carries 5 decorative ones of which I have the Sintra model for $65.00. As for buying handbags in Europe, I agree with that one as (pre-pandemic), I was going to Paris nearly annually for decades and would wait to purchase my handbags there. My first (European) high end handbag was my Louis Vuitton Chantilly crossbody (1980) which I bought from my regular LV store on the Avenue Marceau. By the time the detaxe was added, the bag was less than $200. I bought it as a birthday gift to myself for my then upcoming 25th birthday. I still have the photo of me standing in front of the LV store with the bag and also wearing my Norma Kamali short leopard-print pencil skirt and matching tank-style top. The wild and crazy days. Tip! To get a boot off, have someone bend the toe toward you while pulling off at the heel if you understand what I mean. I learned that from my dad many, many years ago while helping him to take off his motorcycle boots.
