I began watching you around the time of your wedding. I loved your Hen party. I am 74 years old and was once an 8. Never a four. When you talk about skin care and put on your makeup I just skip along the the other bits. I find you kind, funny, wholesome and sometimes my dear I laugh at the differences between the way it is now and the way it was when I was oh so much younger. Do what you do. As you learn you change. Boy have I changed most especially recently. Love the decorating don't always agree with your choices and you do live a first world life. I was very surprised when you said that you had been ignorant to black women watching you. I was taken back a bit for me it’s not always what you wear or use. I have two little children and I’m single and I started watching and enjoyed your relationship with your husband, houseware, and gardening I enjoyed watching you thrive as a businesswoman. Lately with quarantine it had been nice seeing you and Ali slow down and actually enjoy your home and one another. So relatable content doesn’t always mean you look alike. There has been a few items you have mentioned that I loved and purchase not clothes but household goods and things like that.

In my opinion, what you do with your content is spot on! I’ve watched your channel from the start, I’m mixed raced and don’t look like you at all. I relate to your personality and interests. I honestly don’t think you need to censor yourself! I think Lydia is best when she is just living life, letting go and going with the flow! You do you! That’s why we all subscribed, not because we look like you. It doesn’t phase me if you don’t speak of plus size or shade ranges or budget alternatives. We should all be able to google and find that out for ourselves, that doesn’t need to be your responsibility (I don’t think) I also find it very sweet that you have great empathy and understanding towards your subscribers! ❤️

I wouldn't drop the peanut butter. You need protein to build muscle so it might actually mean you're not eating enough protein if you're not seeing the results :)

Peanut butter has more healthy fats than full protein and is very high in calories. If she wants to build more lean muscle and definition she should focus on combining her running with resistance workouts so that she is getting both aerobic and anaerobic exercise, and get protein from sources such as fish, chicken, turkey, low fat, high protein yogurts (careful not to get the ones that have a bunch of added sugars, look for plain greek yogurts that you can make tasty with cinnamon and berries), and brown rice with lentils (great complete protein as well as carbohydrate). ❤️

Put chicken wire in front of the brick that you want the vine to climb. Vine enters the brick pore and destroys the bricks as it climbs. That way the vine climbs the chicken wire and not your brick

Hey Lydia, you're losing definition from running as it burns muscle masses. You have to do more resistance training than cardio to keep the nice definitions. Btw Ali is a gem 💎

Running doesn't burn muscle mass :) but yes resistance training would enhance the 'definition' she's looking for more. But genetics above all!

​@@ei-hk7vn the amount lydia runs surely does. everyone can build muscles thru resistance training (the right nutrition and when you're slim calorie intake is a plus to achieve your body composition goals), so genetics doesn't play a major role with that, rather what you do

I'm a qualified professional in this topic. Genetics accounts largely for the results you may or may not see. But what you do will ofcourse influence the outcome you get. This is just controlled by your genetics. And yes ofcourse resistance training with adequate calories and protein is important when trying to build muscle mass. And no. Running will not burn muscle mass. It doesn't work like that. The loss of definition results from lack of appropriate stimuli when switching from residence to cardio based exercise.

I’m 40 years old, about the same size & height as you & I live in QLD Australia (our winter is about the same as your summer). I started watching your channel at the beginning of lockdown & love everything about your content (including the pre-lockdown travel & shopping that I have binge watched since). I love treating myself to peanut butter in my smoothies; however, I started substituting it with organic peanut butter powder! You get the protein with less fat & calories. I live in the U.S & use the Trader Joe’s brand with sea salt. So good! You may have to test out different brands to find the one that you like but it is worth it.

Btw if you fancy a change and want a new roast potato recipe lol, I usually put the tatoes in a mixing bowl, add olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, dried oregano, grated parmesan and a dash if chilli powder (optional). I have gotten in the routine of relaxing and watching Vloggers in my downtime. It is very relaxing BTW. I noticed the other Vloggers reply to their subscribers, but you never do. Hello Lydia, Dear heart Lydia, I'm going to jump right in with my comments regarding your tiredness. Speaking from unfortunately experience that I still am dealing with. Obviously you are sensitive to gluten or are intolerant to it, so when you keep eating gluten it directly effects your gut lining it degrades it. So your body is now sending all of its energy to fix the damage done by the gluten ingested, not much left for you! If the gut is compromised it also effects your eyes and eye sight hence the redness. If you keep eating gluten eventually little holes are created and the food you eat starts entering your blood stream, so eat as though your life depends on it because it does. Do your own research and feel better. Xoxo

Oh I love your planting project! Plus some random info. Basil is actually very useful for repelling bugs, especially mosquitoes! We use it constantly in Greece where we have an abundance of them. Life savers during the summer

I'm with you on your purchase policy Lydia. It is always worthwhile to get good quality classic products. I get irritated by products that are badly made or have been constructed with low quality materials. Rubbishy goods are so disappointing but quality items make people happy!

Lydia, you might not see this, just want to explain that you and I are complete opposites. The only thing we have in common is our love for our cat. Why do I watch you? You're lovely and have worked hard for a gorgeous home and all your luxury treats. I'm disabled, live in social housing, on benefits and on the larger end of plus size. You're everything I used to be and although I miss that lifestyle, I can appreciate people who live as you do. I get excited about your unboxings, your home improvements and now your green fingers. PS, your hubby is amazing, too.

Literally escapism and luxury in a way, that isn't about brands, but about fine living in France.
