There is a lovely saying about autumn: “Autumn is the only time of year, when every leaf becomes a flower.” I am glad there is another soul that gets excited about seasonal decor as I do. It all looks lovely. I hope you enjoy your nice biscuits with your new tea set 😉💕.

I haven't watched all of the vlog yet, but I wanted to quickly say that I was so inspired by your living room Lydia that I took the plunge and painted mine black. My father who I had to ask to come and help me dismount the television off the wall was like..."you're doing what??" I am so happy that I've done it, it looks so chic and cozy AND my father even likes it (bonus!). Thank you for being so inspiring. I will watch the vlog now :) Ciao.

Not sure if someone has already mentioned this, but the hydrangeas you have in your garden if you pick them when in full flower and hang them upside down in a dry room you will have your own dried flowers from your own garden 😊

May I make a suggestion, put together a tray of cups and things that you would like the trades to use so when you know they are working in your house you put it out near the coffee maker. Try to anticipate what they might need that way you minimize the trouble they can get into looking thru your cabinets trying to find cups, plates, silverware, and even sugar etc.

Autumn is not completely "Autumnal" until Lydia posts. I already LOVE the season, but you make me giddy with anticipation, Lydia. I want hot cider, pumpkin spice, cosy knits, crockpot suppers, comforters, quilts and an upgrade to my fall wardrobe. I want to see everything explode in a kaleidoscope of brilliant colors. Thank you for making my favorite season that much more special! Muah, love from Toronto, Canada.

Dear Lydia . I live in the Caribbean and about the storms . This is Huracanes Season . 3 years ago Maria hit and it destroyed everything. It was the most horrific experience I have ever passed. My apt was all floated with 8 inches of water . There was no electricity for 3 days . So I hope your Storm is not that bad . Keep Vloging more and more please . We are still in quarentine . Love you my friend 💖

Hi Lydia, I’m not sure if you will ever see this but I would absolutely looooove it if you could do a video where you style yourself with the clothes you used to wear back in 2016-2018 and explain a little bit about exactly how your style has evolved over the years. I started following you for your chic street style and it would bring a lot of nostalgia to me and I bet your audience. I’d be very interested to hear about your fashion journey from then to present :)

I'm transitioning my home for autumn right now because home decor is the main way I know the seasons are changing. It's going to be 111 (roughly 44C) this weekend, and will stay in the upper 90s and low 100s for at least another few weeks, and then will be in the 80s and 70s until late November. So not very autumnal weather in Southern Arizona lol!

Love, love, love autumn, more in London cause it evokes a beautiful poem called: Splendor in the Grass by William Wordsworth, which says: "What though the radiance which was once so bright Be now for ever taken from my sight, Though nothing can bring back the hour Of splendor in the grass, of glory in the flower, We will grieve not, rather find Strength in what remains behind; In the primal sympathy Which having been must ever be; In the soothing thoughts that spring Out of human suffering; In the faith that looks through death, In years that bring the philosophic mind".
@miryamhaveman28944 жыл бұрын
If you love the dried hydrangea try to the dry the one from your bouquet. Just dry them the same as your would dry lavender and herbs. The hydrangea in your garden are perfect to dry as well. Cut them of, remove the leafs an hang them to dry. The best moment to cut them is tricky. Most of the time the flowers will change color late august and in semptember the will start to feel different. That's the moment to cut and dry them. I make wreaths with them as well and they last all autumn and even winter.
