Quite normal in rural Finland I guess. I have atleast grave lantern with my car, often a swedish torch too. Nothing makes people slow down more effectively than a lantern on the road. And it's also handy to have light and heat if something happens during cold dark winter.

Do you have a pickaroon in your cargo van sir? I love mine. Its a Peavey made in Maine. I hear Fiskars has a great one too. I may purchase one in the future. Fiskars is top notch at an affordable price.

Great equipment! Are you required to use biodegradable bar oil? I wish the Fiskars axe covers were available in orange in the US. Only black as far as I know and makes it difficult to find in the woods.

The cover of my X37 from 2023 is orange. It is strange that the color changes between regions. We are not required to use biodegradable oil here in Finland -it doesn't perform well during our freezing months

​@@FINNISHLUMBERJACKThat's interesting about the oil, I visited your country a long time ago, to fulfil requirements in architecture school (my understanding about anything related to timber then was minimal). I've set myself a task of breaking in a new 550 and learning how to use 50cc saw tools this year. I find the 325 chain a bit of a change away from the 3/8 I'm used to. The 550 doesn't get huge press down here in Britain. However, the reason I selected that saw is because I didn't want to haul a 365, or a 572, or even a 562 where I want to go to next (a couple of kilometers length of boundary to a property which needs some basic tidy up vegetation wise). Small timber rather than larger.

The opinions vary on selection of bar for the 550 here. I'm going to run .058 gauge bar, in 18 inch length. However, those who use the 550 here at all, won't go longer than a 15 inch. Because there's using their 550's I think to cut actual timber, instead of hedgerow management like I'm using this saw for only.

Lastly, I ran a number of other Husky saws to begin with on my hedgerow work. Only to discover the saws were either too large, heavy weight and drank too much fuel. Or the opposite (my 435's are nice, but too weak on this job). So the 550 was brought in then, and it seems to do what I asked of it, whilst being very portable too.
