We keep applesauce pouches on hand for lows. Especially for beside the bed in the middle of the night, they don’t spill and you don’t have to sit up to eat it like you do when you drink juice. The go go squeeze ones have an easy open top meant for toddlers, but are real handy when you are shaky.

you can get blood tests on ivy every year (i believe) to check her for type 1! my brother has it so my siblings and i all did it as precaution as it usually runs in the family and we have no idea where his came from. i highly recommend doing this now or when she gets a little older!

Ohhh Ms Devin you really need to carry a glucagon injection pen!! I carry one with me at all times. Please look into it! It is a single use pen for low blood sugar and you don't have to keep it refrigerated. Snacks / Hard Candy are great as well as OJ and or Apple juice. I know I am late to the game but I am playing catch up binge watching yall's videos! Anyhow 35 years as a diabetic and wearing a pump for the past 10.

Walmart has in the diabetic supply a lot of emergency supplies. I use the glucose tablets to bring sugar up fast but they also have gel to. I’m not a health care professional, I’m just saying this is what works for me. So please check with your doctor before you try anything. Good luck. Sister
