The beautiful confidence that comes with your second ❤ For me, the second actually was harder with sleep and I slipped into PPD/PPA from sleep deprivation, but other than that, a lot of these rang true for me too.

For me the most difficult part was to have a pretty predictable and consistent routine. Babies absolutely thrive on routine, but me, I'd work till 3am, wake up at 10am the next morning but go to sleep by 10pm that night. I'd skip meals (but you can't really skip your child's meal lol) or be very spontaneous for unpredictable amounts of time. Settling into a more consistent routine *myself* I believe #2 will be way easier in terms of adapting.

I am a little over a month into forming #2 and you set my mind a little more at ease. Watching your vids on you being preggie with Rook before I got preggie with my princess made me seriously at ease the first time also. Totally agree about the adapting to sleep loss better the second time around! With my first I felt like I was dying due to lack of sleep 😅 but this time around I feel much more chill about it and it just isn’t affecting me as much.

Two of my favorite things with having two under two has been when one kid is napping and I can spend one on one time with the other kid. And when the naps overlap completely 😅

I love the products of haakaa too and recommend them to al my friends that are having a baby. I believe you were the one telling me first about them on KZbin. Thank you so much for that, the ladybug and the original Haakaa have made my breastfeeding so much easier, now again the second time around. I have tried silicone pumps of other brands, but haakaa is by far the best! It's helped me to create a big stash of milk in my fridge without even pumping 🤩 The ladybug is indeed great for breastfeeding in public, for example in a restaurant. I recognize the challenges, but also the benefits of having to kids (also with a small age gap of 21 months), and also recognize the small shock in the beginning 😅. This was the hardest transition for me 1 to 2. They are 22 months and almost 6 months. It’s easier now, but after my second was born and my hubby went back to work and I was on my own I was drowning most days and didn’t really enjoy it. I hate to even say that now. It got easier but some days I still struggle. We are military so I also am not in my home state with friends or family for support or help.
