What the hell this is amazing. Im transitioning out of veganism to help my body as a menstruating woman too. I just need more support and can feel that on an intuitive level… I’m really all about my hormones and I could talk about this stuff all day. I find being a woman endlessly beautiful and fascinating. And I love nourishing myself and seeing other women do so 🥰And eating for where you’re at in your cycle? Amazing. I love your content.

Excited about reading this book and watching your series. I’ve been trying to eat mostly whole food plant-based (not at 100% yet) and for the first time in my life I don’t have my painful cramps. The bleeding is still heavy, but not super duper heavy (in the past it was like a pad an hour). It sounds too good to be true but it’s been like this the last few cycles (I was thinking maybe it’s cuz I’m in my 40s now but I cheated last month and ate like 5% animal products and it was painful again). But this month I tried to eat mostly clean again and I don’t even realize when I get my period. (I have PCOS and hypothyroidism) I just wish I knew earlier, instead of suffering my whole life. I would’ve at least eaten plant-based for the 2 weeks around my period. It was still very painful when I was on super clean keto earlier this year and I was dairy free, so I’m guessing it’s the hormones that don’t like me. I hope all women get the relief we so need from this.

How do you know which foods are good to eat? I am on my period as well.

It’s all in the book Woman Code by Alissa Vitti. You can buy it in Amazon. Highly recommend!

Girl. Your story is very similar to mine. I have endometriosis, I am ex-vegan, and I’ve been obsessed with cycle syncing for over a year now. #twinsies 🤣😍

I just want to mention because it wasn’t shown in your videos - but the method of cooking our veggies changes, too. For instance, in the follicular phase, it’s preferred to have steamed and sautéed veggies as well as raw switching in over to being mostly raw in the ovulatory phase. Once we enter our luteal phase, we absorb more nutrients from our veggies being roasted. . . and the same is also true for the menstrual phase but its most beneficial to have more soups with super cooked veggies but I think that’s mainly for the extra water requirement but I’ve also noticed that the more cooked they are the better my digestion is. In the F and O phases, our digestion benefits mostly from lightly cooked and raw foods. In the L and M phases, our digestion benefits predominantly from roasted and super cooked veggies. Sushi is also my go to when I’m on my bleed - I always go for the seaweed salad (raw, I know 🤣) but so good plus miso soup, a couple rolls, and sashimi. I crave alllllll the sushi during this time. You made a very interesting breakfast and I’ve never thought to go outside of a bowl of golden milk oatmeal (which I 10/10 recommend BTW) so I will definitely be trying this soon. I, too, am apprehensive about sardines so I appreciate you ripping the band aid off there. 🤣 Thanks for sharing this WIEIAD - it’s riiiiiiggghhhtttt up my alley. 😍 More videos, please! I love seeing what other cycle syncers are creating. 💗💗💗

Yes! I’ve heard about the different cooking techniques for each cycle. Very interesting. And yesss I crave so much sushi, miso and seaweed on my period and right before 🤤 thank you for watching! I’m posting my ovulation WIEIAD next Monday, so stay tuned! What other cycle specific videos are you interested in seeing?

@@MoreSaltPlease I’ve actually been putting together content and pooling brainstorms together for a few months now and I’m about to start my own KZbin journey with cycle syncing and WIEIAD so I don’t wanna give away allllll my good ideas. 🤣 But I think it would great for your viewers if you talked about not only the nutrition part of it but how our fitness and self-care needs change throughout the month as well. To me, cycle syncing is this “life-hack trio” and all aspects support each other. It’s a very intuitive and synchronized way of living. It actually comes more natural than any diet plan out there because it doesn’t focus on the symptoms, it focuses on bringing balance back to our bodies. So many of us need to become more balanced. 💗

@@iamleamarie that’s so exciting! Can’t wait to see your videos ☺️ and absolutely! When I first starting learning about each phase I was blown away by how much I didn’t know or even pay attention to 🤯 and you’re right there’s so much more to it than food. The other stuff is so second nature to me now I don’t think of it as exciting information anymore, but I know a lot of women can benefit from hearing it
@iamleamarie3 жыл бұрын
@@MoreSaltPlease This is still a grassroots movement in women’s health. It is all second nature to us at this point, but this is still not mainstream information for MOST women. You could probably talk about the trio all day every day and still find new women every day who are just hearing it for the first time. This is important work on so many levels - waking up women to the ultimate life hack - which is really just learning how to operate and utilize the body we already have.
