hello Emmie, i have a very specific question, i have been eating plant based for couple of years and like a year ago i started recovering from bulimia that i suffered from for a year. However due to long deprivation of fluids, I was dealing w inflammation at the recovery and the doctor told me that veganism is part of my ilness and that it will worsen the inflammation. What is your opinion on that? Thank you if you will resond for my question.

I haven’t watched the whole video yet, so you may address it, but sugar and oil aren’t the only things to watch out for, especially in tomato based products, like salsa, etc. Also, watch out for salt! Love your videos. Am in my 70s, so salt is a big deal.

Is there a gluten free wrap you recommend. I'm gluten intolerant
@HealthyEmmie3 ай бұрын
Food for life has a good one!! There's a little bit of oil, but it's a good option compared to a lot of other ones you'll find. Siete foods as well. Corn tortillas are totally oil free and your best option, but they are small!

Love love the video. But please can you say type 2 diabetes instead of ‘diabetes’ type 1 is totally different with it being autoimmune. It is not brought on by diet, lifestyle choices. Thanks x

Yes I agree as a type 1 diabetic in my 50s it’s frustrating influencers and educators not differentiating Thank you for bringing this up

@@michelleargo3516 beyond frustrating. It’s upsetting. Type one since 11. I live a very very healthy lifestyle. And like you, unfortunately got given this horrific disease to manage. It is relentless. Non stop. There needs to be far more public awareness of how it is very very difference in the causative factors compared to type 2. X

@@michelleargo3516 if only we could watch what we ate carbs wise to ‘get rid’ of our type one. Unfortunately though our pancreases got attacked by beta cells to stop it working and lifestyle choices CANNOT alter that x

Poor circulation can cause inflammation.
@Jol-v1p3 ай бұрын
"Animal products, foods that are super refined, high in sugar, processed foods, high in saturated fats....all of those are going to make your inflammation....through the roof." What a crock of malarkey! No such thing as an anti-inflammatory diet. Enjoy the foods you love, move enough, keep your weight down and you'll be fine. And, not necessary to consume free-range bee spit, either. You're welcome.

Just so everyone knows. This is not an anti inflammatory diet. Meat and salt is anti inflammatory diet. Seriously the plant based diet had a lot of us fooled for a lot of years.
