A little off topic but Rowena.... It's a blessing to find you.... For past 3 years I am mutiple time suicide survivor... And you just took out me from that phase.... I took your tips and applied them.... I am feeling much better and positive right now.... Thanku so much🥺❤💙... Love from india 🇮🇳 *Edit*=I completed my graduation and got into one of the most prestigious university in my country for my masters❤

Honestly I’m a 20-something working through several traumatic events and I’ve been on a self-development journey for about 5 years. It feels like I’m in the final stretch and finding you during a time when things are actually lining up and going well in my life has been a game changer. I’ve had a massive shift in perspective. Thanks to you I’m not living my life just waiting for the shoe to drop. I’m practicing mindfulness in everything I do and learning that those lazy feelings are there for a reason and I’m no longer fighting my down time. I’m not trying to be "on" 100 percent of the time.

I started watching you 3 years ago and kinda fell off bc I’ve been in an unhealthy mindset and I was afraid to grow and change but I’ve been binge watching all ur videos this past week and ur just so kind and beautiful and I love your philosophy on life. I went through the same thing at 20 I watched those documentaries too and went veg and lost a ton of weight but I was so unhappy. I’ve been intuitive eating for the past few years now and I’ve come to love my body outside of society standards. Anyway just thank u for ur content I’m finally back in the season of wanting to grow and it feels good 🌱

I'm literally going through this now as well. Trying to have a better relationship with food and not categorizing things as good or bad but just eating when I'm hungry and if I want to have something sweet allowing myself to have it.

the videos that you come out with are almost always what I need to hear at the exact moment I need to hear them. Specifically in this one when you talk about Intuitive Eating. Love your videos so much, I've never clicked on a notification so fast. xx

I love your editing ♡ 3:50 in Spain we call it "tapas" when you are served small rations so you can try multiple dishes, is also usually shared by friends/family so you ask for one dish per person or even more and you get to enjoy all.

Rowena, I am so grateful to have found your channel at such an impactful time in my life. The idea to create systems (can’t remember which video it was) has so fundamentally shifted how I look at my day and how to get stuff done. And this video reminds me how much I love Japanese inspired foods and meals. Thanks so much for what you do!

She is!!! She's mentioned that previously
@Luxmundee4 жыл бұрын
Somehow this comment rubs me the wrong way, as if a person's bouncy and happy attitude can only mean that they are in love. Not trying to start an argument, I just hope everybody understands that if we're not happy by and with ourselves in the first place then being in a relationship will not make us happy. Find happiness within ourselves and whatever our future holds (single, in love, whatever) we will be at peace and content and happy. Xoxo
@TB-ky7de4 жыл бұрын
Luxmundee I see how you can get that from that comment. I just noticed that she seems alive like when love is in your life. That’s how I feel when I have love in my life. Sorry if you got offended. Of course a person’s happiness shouldn’t be determined by having a significant other, but sometimes it is the reason for happiness and that’s okay too.

omg I LOVE justonecookbook! Real talk, it's mostly how I learned to cook because it was the first place to make any sense to me. Also, this is the second video I've seen today that has natto and I am so jealous, I love it I think I just have a weakness for fermented things in general because lately I'm like inhaling kimchi and tempeh, I might have a problem. I'm also working on intuitive eating though, we kinda do it in the same way too. I just get a little something and then wait a bit and if I'm still hungry go ahead and make something else. Some days I'm ravenous and want to eat the universe then some days I don't want anything at all and it's really beautiful. I've struggled with eating disorders from as early as 6 years old so it's such a weird feeling to actually get along with my body like this.
@seherling2073 жыл бұрын
You should try to mix some kimchi into your natto! The combo is delicious!

Hi Rowena, I like how you start your day with something warm. I do the same but with warm water. Tea and coffee (and alcohol) have antidiuretic hormones, which prevent your body from absorbing liquids. I didn't know this until I started taking pre-requisite classes for nursing. (see hypertonic, hypotonic, and isotonic solutions for more info) Ever since then, I only start my day with water and add non-water liquids to my day only if I think I've had a good amount of water. Maybe you can do one cup of warm water, give your body about an hour to absorb it, and then have tea? I try to preach this everyone I know when the topic comes up!

The grainy in the smoothie may be from the grape skins and celery ribs imo....added with the fiber from pineapple and mango just can’t get puréed small enough. Try it without grapes and pull the big celery ribs off each stall and give it another try! Looks awesome though!
