Truth Teller that is a really ignorant comment. You imply several incorrect assumptions. 1) that a woman needs a man to be ‘rich’. Women can be the income earners and make more money than men in the relationship and this is more and more often the case. This isn’t 1940. 2) That to be ‘put-together’ a person needs only to be ‘rich’. This is not true at all. Being put-together is a state of mind and has no relation to the amount of money in a person’s bank account. Being put-together takes routine and good habits and discipline. As a nanny I have worked for several ‘rich’ families that are the exact opposite of ‘put-together’, if a person is messy and disorganized they are the same whether they have money or not. Also, in regards to this video, because Lisa states “because I’m just one person and I’ve always got leftovers” this implies that she obviously doesn’t need a “rich man” to be this awesome. She just is. Most likely because she is disciplined and works towards the things she wants in her life.

I'm watching this video and at the exact moment you talked about adding salt I was pulling out a pack of coarse salt to have with a bit of sugar and liquid as I have severe dehydration due to having all but I metre of my intestine removed over the years due to having crohns disease since I was a little girl. My body doesn't absorb salt like most people so my gastroenterologist of 25 years makes sure I have at least 1 tablespoon of salt extra a day plus my body craves salt. I do add it to food but to help my craving I also just eat salt with some form of liquid. Water doesn't stay in me long enough so I use natural sugar sources with water to help. I'm new to your channel but I've loved every video so far. I watch and listen why I'm meal prepping, getting ready, before I sleep, when I wake up etc. I actually really appreciate you for all the hard work you put into making each and every video. Not only am I learning from you but because I'm also 80% bedridden your videos keep me entertained and thinking healthy. Sometimes we forget to thank people and to let them know that what they are doing impacts our lives in a positive way. So thank you so much for doing so much for your subscribers because you are needed on KZbin. Xx

Some people are wired that way but I also believe you can learn to be more of a morning person with practice. :)

For making humus it’s better to boil chick peas by first soaking them, it is healthier and better tasting than the caned chick peas

Thank you for the variety of suggestion of what to do with zoodles. I have a spiralizer and was ready to get rid of it because I was unable to find good suggestions of what to do with them.

In one of your last videos you talked about how you never use plasic for food storage and how you love your BPA free glasslock containers. I was suprised when I saw you use those canned chickpeas. Did you really find a brand that uses BPA free cans? I have been looking everywhere but never found one. While canning, the food is really hot and after that it sits in that can for weeks or even months. Since the inside coating of most cans isn't BPA free, I've switched to using dried chickpeas.
@Downshiftology6 жыл бұрын
No, I still do use some plastics, I'm just doing my best to reduce my consumption and avoid where possible. I'm definitely not perfect. :) But ironically, the can of chickpeas I used were BPA-free: amzn.to/2L1hr3K

Talena M have you looked for chickpeas in glass jars? They're popular in London
@talenameinders20676 жыл бұрын
Tatiana Luján I have ;) Here in Germany they are available as well. Unfortunately the lid of the jars I found isn't BPA free, either. But I learned that there are BPA free cans (thanks to Downshiftology), so I guess there are BPA free lids available as well. I just didn't find them. Probably the problem is that I usually shop at normal supermarkets. But to be honest, I stopped looking a while ago, when I decided to use the dried ones. At first I was annoyed by the fact that I had to plan my meals ahead and had to soak the chickpeas over night. That seemed like a lot of work (at first). I'm used to that now and it really isn't a big deal. And what I like about them is that they are cheaper than the ones in jars and they usually don't require that much packaging. So they help me to save money and avoid waste :)
