the thing you mentioned about the meals at the end of the video! The way I fixed that issue for myself is by eating small things throughout the day. Instead of one big meal, I would eat like 5 small ones. What happens is that after your blood sugar is so low for so long, eating a meal makes it go up dramatically and then you get a big crash right after. The way to prevent it is to make sure you're not too low on your blood sugar for too long. If you eat small snacks then you also will still get the productivity of how you feel on an empty stomach.
@The_Tundra_Ай бұрын
Unless you're a nutritionist, dietician or biochemist specialising in human diet, don't out give questionable advice about something you don't understand. Eating one meal and fasting IS actually better than having five small ones. while insulin in famous for keeping blood sugar low, we all also have glucagon, a hormone responsible for preventing our blood sugar from getting to low by releasing glycogen (stored sugars) that we all have in our bodies. If you want to eat five times a day you are welcome to it but digestion is a process that takes hours and the more often you eat the more often your body will be working on digestion, our bodies need a break too. Eating on an empty stomach after less time or more time will not make the insulin spike bigger. Spikes are caused by carbohydrates and most people think they need carbs for energy but they eat too much, often without adding sufficient fibre of fats to achieve balance. It also helps to eat fibre first then proteins and fats and carbs last where possible. several studies have shown the order in which we eat foods in a meal effects how we digest it. Snacking is ok if you are snacking on savoury high fibre snacks such as smoked almonds. The best way to feel good is to maintain a steady blood sugar level and this IS NOT achieved by eating lots of small meals. Fibre first, carbs last and doing a short amount of excercise after a meal (10-20 mins) which forces our muscle to uptake glucose and lessen the spike; acetic acid is a drink or salad dressing can also help slow down gastric processing of sugars. Always speak to a registered nutirionist when considering dietary changes or if seeking dietary advice and don't do random things people suggest online. Few actually understand the advice they are giving out.

yes, with less or no carbs in your OMAD ( a big junk of meat) you won't feel the post meal coma quite as much But there could be a different problem where your digestive system can't stomach a lot of liquid rendered fat and makes you terribly sick. To combat that just keep the temperature below the rendering point of the fat. (dont make it well done, make it rare at like 50°C)

To make the best tzatziki, here is the recipe. For a kilo of yogurt you need one cucumber grated 4-6 cloves of garlic, salt, pepper, vinegar and olive oil. Grate the cucumber and add salt to it, leave it for 5-10 mins to release the juices that way you don't have to squeeze much, and it makes the tzatziki less watery. Put the cucumber in the yogurt add pepper, the garlic (I prefer it minced but grated is OK too) and almost equal amounts of olive oil and vinegar the tzatziki should be mildly peppery and garlicky (I overdo it sometimes). Stir it intensely with a fork and let it rest for at least 1 hour for the flavours to combine (better to leave it overnight).

Being sleepy after eating may be a sign of your glucose spiking, which is not good on your insulin and hormones, maybe check with your doctor and do the blood test, but not only the glucose one, it may come up normal. Do the insulin levels before and after eating+ after 2 hours have passed, to see how it fluctuates. You can curb glucose spikes by eating in this order: 1. veggies/fiber 2. Proteins 3. Dessert (i.e. starches and sugar). Don't eat your carbs without protein and fiber. Also, 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar diluted in a cup of water before meals will help too. Anyone who's interested, look up glucose goddess.

The green color in poultry comes from how they are caught and butchered. If they are stressed and chased around it happens. Most of the time it's the last half of the birds in a house. Those birds don't use their wings much except catch time. The green color has something to do with the extra blood rushing to muscles hardly used. They take those and sell them cheaper. There is nothing wrong with them but the color. The very last are the worst and those normally end up as stuff like mcnuggets.

Food itself has lost any and all meaning beyond fuel for my pointless, lumpy meat-sac.

sometimes when money is tight i do OMAW. I make a few liters of crepe batter and just put chese and ham in them. its cheap and much tastier than homemade bread which would cost me about the same in ingredients

You can accomplish OMAD by splitting your 1 meal into 2 that are 2 hours apart. Should help w the portion size killing your energy.
