I needed this. I had a heart transplant and I walk a lot every day. Today I felt down and I didn't want to do it, but I already have 8,000 steps in.

You look young, I walk between 25-35k steps everyday for work as a landscaper. it’s incredible what your body will become with increasing your step count. just make sure to keep your joints healthy

This reminds me of a time about 4 years ago when I was working at the airport in Tampa Florida. I was a porter/driver for Hertz car rental agency. And what I did for them was move & park rental cars in this big 1/2-square mile parking lot, along with washing them. I would take a dirty returned car, wash it, and then go park it and repeat. I would start at 5am, and work until 10pm 6 days a week to make ends meet. And I did it for 1-1.5 years. And believe it or not. This job definitely was a benefit for me because I was also doing marathon training as well because I was walking on average 75,000 steps a day, which is roughly 30-40 miles a day walking. 6 days a week.

This reminded me of child birth and how proud I was after each delivery but especially that first one. I didn’t know I could be so strong.

Hi! Thanks for sharing! 😊 I haven't done 74km, my longest distance for now is a bit over 30km. But... My No 1 rule are socks! You have to have very good sport socks (not cotton!) - running/ hiking socks. It is advised to change socks every 10 -20km. For such long distance I would never leave my home without 2-3 pair of good socks in my backpack. Socks could be more important than shoes. Good socks keeps your feet dry and comfy and it helps to avoid blisters. No 2 - I always take one more pair of shoes with me. It is must. You rock, girl! ❤

@@IlvaIgnatovicamy 100k steps was 45.6 miles tho but everywhere I’m looking on KZbin says it should be 50 miles or more I used my Apple Watch and app to count the steps can you help me figure it out?
@IlvaIgnatovica Жыл бұрын
it really depends on how big your step is. It can be both 50 miles and 45. In this case, I would trust your devices@@joannjuin-lochard2807

Nike shoes are not for long walks. ASICS Kayano shoes are very good to me. I walk 20,000 steps a day. No pain, no blisters.
