Sorry - not true, I’m in my sixties and l have known Americans living in NZ my entire life. Yes my mum worked at a University and most Americans we meet as kids worked there too. However just because your experience is different doesn’t make it true. An important part of our Maori war history which is ‘Always’ over looked are the American soldiers who came here to fight in NZ. The sad part is that they were recruited to come to NZ straight after the Civil war in America. I guess they were professional soldiers, but imagine sailing to a totally foreign country to fight a war you have absolutely no connection with.

Life is what you make of it.

@@HeAhaBro I wish life was that simple. Yes and no. Depends on where you were born, your ethnicity and the socioeconomic status of your parents. To pretend otherwise is a denial of reality. Yes yes, I also can cite cases of the poor, ethnically other(as in different from the majority) and from the other side of the tracks who have made good but they are the exception not the rule.

@@kevinoleary9662 are you not white or middle class? At least you have the education and freedom to type what you want on you tube, which is something denied to millions of people. Yes the world has bad people, but there is also a lot of good people too and most go through out their lives not caring who is white or otherwise, or who is privillaged and who is not. What matters is how you view yourself and treat others.

@@michaelgrey7854 sure, white, middle class educated and privileged which is why I recognise it. Look the New Zealand described is pretty good and I live in it and appreciate. It. Sadly it is not the reality for a whole lot of New Zealanders at least not a whole bunch I have the privilege to work with.
