Kovu, this video was so sweet and very nostalgic and a bit bittersweet for me. I'm already an old man, well not real old but compared to you (I turn 58 this month) I feel old :) Listening to you talk about what you want to be like when you are old brings back memories from when I was young and had my dreams and visions of my future. Some things have turned out as I hoped but much has not. Your enthusiasm and excitement just makes me feel warm inside but also a bit sad and brings a tear to my eye because I am here now and things are not all I wished they were. It is different and not necessarily bad but I could/should have done a better job in getting here, I didn't follow the advice I am about to give you and though I can be the best me now I can't go back and be the best past me. So here is my advice to you and anyone else taking the time to read this...... Try to enjoy every day of your life and everyone around you and focus on being the best you you can be and you will grow to be that old man you envision.

@@shalacarter6658 It does seem to be repeatedly starting over in a sense. It really comes down to regrets. Things I regret doing or not doing. If you can live your life without regrets then you'll be happy in your old age. Can that be done? quite difficult indeed. But please don't regret that you spent your life being who others think you should be and not being who you are.

One of my favorite childhood memories is helping my elderly neighbor manage his lawn and garden. He was a great man who filled in that grandfather role for me, after my own grandfather passed.

I think it's because I don't feel content with my life now and it scares me that I could get old without ever being happy. I always drink my tea in glasses. It's also a Middle Eastern thing and you can find glasses similar to yours with the pretty silver holder and handle. Your new candle holder is awesome! I hope that it gets to be in a play some time! I am not a fan of small round lenses, but as long as they are thin, it's cool. What a great Advent calendar!!!!! I wanted to be a professor as well, because I never wanted to leave school. :) Josh also wants a pig. And a pit bull. And an English Bulldog. And a corgi. Well, you get the picture. I'd love to have chickens again; but our landlord said, no. Yes! Those darling little cottages with the huge flower gardens! :) You should look up some mulled wine recipes so you don't need to use mixes. You know, just maybe once as a lark. Oh! I wish you had filmed some of the Christmas market! You should be in a church choir. An old brick church. Aw, I love doing things like that with my grand kids, where I can show them things and tell them about stuff. We were at a county museum the other night and I showed them the exhibit with bottles and photographs from the old bottling company. I told them their uncle had found a bottle from that bottling company after the school tore up a sheep pasture to build a new football field. Those wrinkles are called "Crow's Feet" Yes! Start setting a wine cellar now! love you muchly!

I am really looking forward to leaving high school and starting testosterone (in 10 weeeeeks), but I don't really imagine myself after that. I am trying to enjoy my teenage years while I still can, because I didn't have the chance to really be a teenager before, since I was always sad and anxious. Honestly, I am scared that I will die young. That would be sad, because even though I don't have many expectations about my future, there's a lot of things that I want to achieve, artistically speaking mainly. getting old really sucks. Everything hurts, you cant walk up steps, you cant run, climb,jump because of the pain that never goes away, and if you did anyways the bones would break and or the tendons will pull away from the bones and it will take years to heal just to the point of being able to move it again. Your ability to learn is gone, you cant remember anything. Regrets everyplace you look. You can't eat the foods you like because they will make you sick. Just about impossible to find a job that pays well. Unless you did very well before your poor but that don't matter because all you want to do is sit, or sleep. No future, just waiting for time to pass. Oh your talking about how you dont like your body, wait until you get old, it turns into a disaster so you just give up thinking about it. getting old really sucks.
