I just made the first soup because I got sick, and it was sooo comforting and soothed my soar throat. Thank you so much for sharing! I also added some lemon grass and green onion since I had it in my freezer, and it turned out great.

Marion, Far be it from me to give you cooking tips. I'm sure you are far much better of a cook than I'll ever be. But with that said, I just wanted to share with you that I have always placed a coffee filter inside my strainer first before I strain bacon grease, just to make sure I get all of the little left over bits out of it, while I'm pouring it into my container and then I save it in the frig to cook and season with. Anyway, it occured to me to try doing that when straining broth and it works amazingly well and gives me the clearest, cleanest most beautiful broth ever. Just sayin. ;-)
