That’s because most people don’t have the ability to feel cars, understand the language of cars, "connect" to the cars etc. This ability has nothing to do with intelligence, money etc. It is in your heart, in your emotional area. I was Ferrari, Lambo, Mercedes fan. But when I tried the Vanquish, 2015 Model like the one in the video but in silver color, it was love at first sight. Sound, feeling etc. was for me the best I have ever experienced before. As Italian, I never thought, that an English car would have so much emotions, give me that much joy, happiness and good feeling, like no other car did before.
@zepe703 жыл бұрын

First of all congratulations for this review. I see you started recently to do this but I like your kind of "Harry's garage" approach being the owner of them. Keep going, I am sure you will progress and deserve over time more and more followers! Secondly, happy to share your passion for cars. On AM, I only had a Rapide so far but am considering to add one to my garage as a companion to a few more exotics, and I am considering either a Vanquish or a 2008-2012 DBS. I also like DB11 but I think it would be very bad on the maths... whereas the Vanquish and DBS shold hold value (as the DBS, in manual they already cost quite a lot more than auto ones). What is your view over them ? And also I would like a more relaxed driver than e.g. my Granturismo or Ferrari California (N/A). They are great but I'd like to go for something really more GT-ish. Thank you very much and congratulations again, looking forward to your next review (why not on the 2008-2012 DBS)?
@RossOnCars3 жыл бұрын
Hey Sarastro, thanks for the encouragement and positive feedback - Harry's garage is a favourite of mine too. A DBS review is definitely on the cards. I hear the manual is the one to have but I haven't driven either yet. Depreciation on the DB11 is a consideration for sure. The Vanquish is a relaxing drive - you can pootle about in it and it doesn't mind.
@diplomacy2000 Жыл бұрын
Would take a late model Vanquish in exchange for a one of the last 2021 Morgan 3 Wheelers in a very rare/attractive custom spec? The Vanquish is probably worth a bit more today, but three wheeler continues to appreciate rapidly while the Vanquish could possibly depreciate into oblivion. The dealer is obviously aware of this.

I did my man maths and bought a 2013 Vanquish last year from main dealer with 5,500 miles but keep wondering whether I should have spent the extra 10 grand for a post 2014 instead even though I never drove one. It's not like I take the car to the race track or anything like that. Just purely for pleasure driving over the weekends.
@RossOnCars3 жыл бұрын
Hi Mike, I’d recommend trying a post 2014 for comparison - whether the extra performance is worth £10K is down to personal preference really - they’re both mighty cars.

Very good video. I always love to see an owner’s perspective on the car since it’s just different. What production year is your vanquish(maybe you mentioned it in the video but I didn’t notice it)? I’m actually having a hard time deciding between this and the S63 AMG Coupe! S63 is definitely more comfortable(as it’s a s-class but a tad sportier), whereas this looks much better(with the V12!) and Astons always have that majestic element to them since they’re quite rare! Can you daily drive it though or is it a little too harsh? It’s probably not 488 Pista harsh 😁

Thanks Martin. It’s a 2016. I have a soft spot for the S63 too. Depreciation wise it’s no contest in the Aston’s favour. It’s very much a GT in ride characteristics so you could daily drive it for sure.

In a perfect world, Aston Martin would release the Vision: DBS front, Vanquish sides and Vantage (>2020) back with the interior a combination of the 3, the modern looks of the DBS, the physical buttons of the Vantage, also their new steering wheel and the analogue reverse dials, B&O sound system and crystal key/start buttons from the Vanquish.
