I still use my a7rii often, and I’ve never experienced any of the issues you stated. The a7riv is a nice upgrade but at the moment it’s just not a necessity. Great video as always. I love your work.

The move from the A7R2 to the R3 is amazing. I wouldn't even buy an A2 now as a back up camera to use as a spare. Auto focus is a main issue.

@@travis8665 i considered, at one time, upgrading to the a7riii, but the improvements it offered only seemed marginal other than the dual card slots IMO. I don't shoot sports so having faster AF didn't benefit me much. The dual card slots would have been the only reason for me to upgrade, which wasn't enough for me to justify the cost. The a7riii and a7riv are great cameras but as of now the a7rii suits my workflow perfectly fine. Next year may be the year I upgrade, but as long as my a7rii is still kicking, there's no telling when I'd actually pull the trigger on a new body. I'd rather put that extra money into glass tbh.

Thanks for the raw downloads, that was enough to earn my sub! Very interested in this camera for its effective "2 in 1" with the crop mode, the real time tracking, and the better ergonomics compared to my current A7iii but my main concern is the demands of a 61MP sensor in relation to high ISO and lenses that are not G masters!

I'm really really close to pulling the trigger on the a7riv. I'm a a7iii user now and love all the new things on the a7riv; except for the file size. I was wondering how you feel about that and how Photoshop was managing the processing of those files? I know there's some things in the new a7siii that will make its way to the a7iv sometime in late 2021, but I can't wait. LOL. *BTW, I'm an on-location portrait shooter like you.

I was on the fence about upgrading from the a6500. It was either the riv or riii. I chose the riii because of price, and my goodness those media files are uge! I used the savings to buy new glass.

95 mb/s card? Wow, I'm in the midst of purchasing this camera now and all the recommended cards are 250 - 300 mb/s. You are seriously bottlenecking the capabilities of that camera

Sony have come a long way since 2016 & the a7rii ..the rii was not a pro camera I have the riii & im sure the riv is even better still & certainly is a pro camera now . as for your batteries .. move on sell your old gear & dont get to attached to it .. Ive never run out of battery on my riii even when ive shot all day . lovely images from the beach.. they look beautiful

@@BachPhotography A OK. Seems not known IBIS related issue. Anyway, you could check when that happen again, take off lens and look the position of sensor. If it is out of center position, that could be it. Have that at 7II, more often in hot days. So used to hide camera in shadow. But to reset camera into working state, had to shake it in order sensor come back in null position.
