As a person that has rebuilt many boats and built several off road rigs and cars...the moral of the story is be a parts hoarder....just look at how much time and money you saved from keeping things. This was a cool series man.

I liked how you added the solenoid for the fuel pump to be activated by the ECM. Too bad it got fried to start with. Great lesson for the rest of us. Thanks.

Your fuel pump draw is what scares me about non-oem parts I hate overpaying for parts but something like that can be a buy-once-cry-once vs cry over and over again… Thx for the breakdown

Gday mate Ive done a few restos to put a price on them you are always going to be out of pocket as you will never get the amount of money for hours back , if you do a resto you gotta want to keep it for at least a few years sometimes you have to wonder if all the frustrations and cost is worth it .

Love you videos and crazy how much you did to this one! Also maybe a little extra time at the end of this video to add that total up before we have to watch some stupid add. Still giving you a thumbs up

Great rebuild, however why didn't you run the rigging tube below the floor since you had to cut it out?

I can use ATF fluid in my sea star steering system!!???? And don't we all pay too much in time and money on our boats?

Sure! If you've got newer seastar fluid in there and it's still clear, I'd stick with the clear stuff, but if it's older, most of them are all filled with ATF already :)

I'm sure some of us are curious of the resale value after all that work. If there was a comparison of what you spent and time vs the resale value of something like this please and thank you !

Well bully netters are a super specific and niche boat, I wanted the boat so that's the deal with this one, but the boats worth about $10K. So it's not really the best example for cost and value and what not of a restore, but I'm working on tracking better the boat's we do, time, cost, and what the value is after, so we'll get better about having that info in the videos on future boats :)
