Sweet! Great story--for people to take the CONCEPT and apply it to something else than keyboard keys! Unimaginative lazy people will think you are literally saying to also do keys. No, dude take the CONCEPT and be creative like he was--DON'T just dumb-copy--or you missed his point.

A great story! Been selling on eBay since 1997. Part time and mostly antiques, but now looking into wholesale and bulk. I recently retired from my job. But, I really enjoyed this video.. WTG

I did the same thing pretty much. Bought a broken TV. Found the parts on eBay, fixed the TV and thought a spell. Than I started buying all the cracked screen TVs local off Craigslist I could find, parted them out and sold the parts on eBay. Made a pretty large bundle. Kind of fun too.

you're awesome and inspiring because I watch a lot of people talking about the eBay business and you sound the most real. let's face it most people don't have 1,000 to start. The way you did it sound the most real way to do it. Thank you.

Mike you are awesome! I love the way you share your experiences. Most how to sell on ebay videos are infomercials or a plug to try and sell you something. Not you though you share your experience for what it is. Genuine people like you help and inspire others. Keep doing what you're doing

Great vid!! I'm also a ebayer in a completely different field and the way we got started was in a similar way. my wife had clothing that didn't fit after our son was born and listed it on Ebay. 5 years latter and with a investment of $100 we now have $135,000.00 of listed inventory and we keep pushing growth. Ebay is the "Willy Wonka golden ticket"

If I wasn’t already subscribed, this is the video that would have made me become one. I started retail arbitrage less than a month ago and I’ve had some success but have made a few costly mistakes too. Being at the mercy of a retailer’s price fluctuations and policies is no fun either. So I’m looking for my niche and moving to a different business model. Your story is just a reminder that for everything we think won’t sell or things we don’t even think of, there are customers, and there is profit to be made.

First thing I sold at ebay was a vintage skateboard my neighbor found at the thrift store for $1.98. "It was a little piece of junk" I said. He said: "Oh, No No! this is collectable vintage!" You know, the thing sold for$350.! I was hooked...

And make buyers take advantage of sellers ,,specially with rediculous eBay system that worship buyers and trash sellers ,,,I hate these beginner sellers that try to fuxk up the role of selling for everybody and then cry to eBay when buyer want to return and screw ur profit

@@anthonypoole6901 Once you see someone posting a video telling you his secret it is def after market for it dried up in fact the chinese undercut everyone on this and he was making prob a lot of money until they came along and under cut him to $3 per key meaning with postage cost in USA at $3 you cannot make anything and postage cost in china is prob 10 cents
@drummerguy6125 жыл бұрын
He gave the keys as an example. No market will stay the same over time. A skilled business man would know this. Yet, here he is with a successful eBay business and you’re, well, wherever you are. I’ll let you try to figure out who’s the smarter individual.

I sell on eBay. I once bought a used first season Lost DVD set at a thrift store for resale. Paid a few bucks. Problem is, I was a rookie and didn't check that all the DVDs were in the set. Got home to find out that one disc was missing. So I started selling the individual discs. I made better than I would have if I'd sold a complete set. Made $4.00 a piece to ship out these individual discs, which weigh less than an ounce. I still have the DVD box with the pictures and info. It's been listed forever doubt anyone will ever want to buy that but whatever.

I've been doing eBay since 2008 right after highschool it's the only thing I know I'm so sick of retail. I'd rather do my own businesses and sell stuff. I have tons of ideas and I'm an creative thinker. Unfortunately videos games held me back since it's my passion. I still wouldn't change it for the world ... video games are my escape and happiness getting achievements or just enjoying hours of fun.

I actually admire you and you are smart! Congratulations on a job well done and I hope to get atleast half of what you make over time. My question to you is how did you get product to sell with only $2000. to your name starting out. I had tryed doing ebay a long time ago and these hackers ruined my ebay business by bidding on my new computers I was trying to sell. They bid over everyone else to win and sent fake paypal payment, but I was wise to what they were trying to do. These hackers were from Nigeria. The hardest part is not having much money to start with and ebay fee's in selling stuff is outrageous!

A warning to anyone who uses Ebay to by a Mac computer. I purchased a used one from a guy, he said it included a monitor, mouse and keyboard, The mac was sent and with a kettle lead for power. The screen never turned up, neither did the mouse or keyboard. I complained to ebay and paypal. Paypal thru out the case and paid him. I said i have cctv evidece of the postal delivery driver delivering the mac. Paypal said we dont use cctv evidence for ceses. Anyway the mac computor comes on with a load of nmers on the boot up screen and doesnt get into the operating system. EBAY AND PAYPAL IS A DUMPIG GROUND FOR CRAP. NEVER AGIN EBAY.

I'm 21 and i've been selling on ebay for the last couple of years now. I work a part time job 2 days a week and ebay literally pays for everything else i need allowing me to have a lot more spare time then if i had to work full time. I agree 100x on finding your 'niche' i've tried to branch out a few times in to sectors i'm not 100% on and it just doesn't work. You need to find what YOU know and stick to it. I just wish ebay would stop being greedy in terms of upping their fees!

I luv you Mike, been subbed for a while. The important fact that you mentioned in this story is that you went and undercut the guy that you got the idea from. Well, what happens is that someone will then do that to you and the trend will continue until the keys only sell for $2 or less. It happens all of the time and in essence ends up hurting us sellers. Everyone wants to be the "lowest" so they get their item sold, but where does price cutting end? Just food for thought.
