Talks like these are what EVERY beginning Detailer should listen to. It’s so easy coming into this industry to think that you have to have EVERY tool and use EVERY tool ALL THE TIME! I stopped even carrying my barrel brush. I do like my steamer though but it has its place!

Rinseless dampened towel as a “pretreat” to clean the interior is a gem. Usually takes care of most everyday grime on hard surfaces, knocks any light dust, and gives you a better idea of what you’re really working with

I have been doing this as a hobby for about 17years. I have used almost everything under the sun. The one thing I learned from how I use to be. No more the crazy compound and polish to remove every scratch there is. I now find a proper single stage does enough of a job because they will eventually work them way into the paint again. I can finish my car faster and enjoy it more.

Top 5 things I learned 1. not your fault they have stains 2. If you spent 15 mins trying to get a stain out it's not coming out 3. Start with the driver's side of the interior ( you start less tired) 4. Perfection is the birds and doesn't exist 5. Ethos definition - the characteristic spirit of a culture, era, or community as manifested in its beliefs and aspiration as always men great stuff and guess what all we had to dois watch and learn

Excellent advice as always. I put away all products and equipment after every detail and wash all the microfiber towels. Never get tired of friends commenting how organized and clean my garage and that a car is always parked there.

My god you are doing a great job! I am from Greece (a little country in Europe). This is amazing because i have the ocd of a detailer but as years go by i see people around me and i only have one advice. Have fun washing your car. One pretty quick and funny example. I am Just a weekend warior so i spent almost 3 days washing decon and aplaying an all in one (cleaner wax if you prefer) to our family black suv witch we dont use that much. I saw the imperfections but my wife thought it was perfect! 7 days later i wanted to apply a spray wax as a topper so as i cleaned the big one i also cleaned the little daily car. So my wife comes out and see the little sky-blue color car and says to me " o my god.... It s amazing and it took you only 2 hours now". So for some people a good wash looks as perfect as a 1 or 2 step paint restoration! PS: i am a rinseless wash guy so i hope i can find your products in my country PPS: you are doing a wonderfull job guys!!! Thank you

As far as “It’s not your fault goes,” there are many types of jobs that I either flat out turn down or quote a ridiculously high price if they insist on having me work on their car, knowing the job will be a headache.

You can lose so much time on interiors. A 2-5 min talk about expectations up front can save you 2-3 hours of chasing stains later. A quick explanation of what is or isn’t damage, permanent, etc not only saves you time but puts you in a place of authority with the customer and demonstrates your knowledge giving them peace of mind. And if you are a DIY guy--you can assure your wife you won’t burn her carpet or tear her leather seats 😂

What would your advice be if I only offer the WCC method for a client and they ask me to do something that isn't included in the package? Like for example if they were to ask me to also clean their windows on the inside of the car? Keep sharing the wisdom and changing lives!

Then charge more. If that same customer goes to a restaurant, orders a meal, eats it, then decides to order a dessert, they will have to pay for it.

Nick, you should grow your hair out and get it braided… you could do it incredibly professional. That’s that I’m trying to prove. Make a physical statement that makes you stand out. I’m in welding school. But my parents talk down to me because of my natural hair….. honestly I think if you just grow some hair; lol but change the trend.
