Taylor Jenkins I am the exact same! I get anxiety about having to stay with relatives or in a hotel. I was never like that when I was young, but as I got older I think it started when I got my first house - I never wanted to leave because I enjoyed being there so much!

adgirl28 It's Christmas time a hectic time for all. Where people are either busy or spending time with family. Vloging isn't as easy as it looks. Lydia has shared as much she can She did a fucken vlog at her family home. What else do you people want. Stop pressurising there needs to be a stop limit. Next it will be we want a video on how u take a dump. I love her videos to but her life, time, family and family time, health. These all comes above any of viewers expections

The homesickness is something I suffered from more than I do now. It's always hard to explain as it is different for everyone and easy to stereotype the reasons. It gets easier as in time you will make peace that your house is yours and knowing you are continuing to work hard it will always be yours. It's good to be a little homesick as you know you have a hone to go back to. Keep looking at all the positives and it will get better. You are so good at putting positive spins on everything else around you that this will come in time also ❤️

Lydia, when you talked about being home sick, this is how I feel each time I leave my home. And it is for exactly the same reason you have mentioned. For a long time, I did not have MY place and especially the one I felt comfortable and cozy. So each time I leave, I feel home sick, already before leaving. It does not matter where I go and how long I stay (I do not even like staying that long away from home), I'm always looking forward coming back home.

I feel the same way about leaving home as you do, but I didn't want it to keep me from doing things I wanted or traveling. I have moved a lot ever since college and every summer I teach art in Italy for over a month! I think what helps me is that I envision making any place I go to my home. I have as many of my things there as possible, I claim a space as "mine" and I just keep reminding myself that everything is good at home and that all will be the same when I get back. Sometimes I still find myself in a strange panic, but returning to a familiar hotel, airBnB, or apartment helps since it feels like a home away from home.

I came to the uk for uni and overtime i go back home i don't want to go back to uni because i get so depressed and sad when i have to leave my family, my dogs, my house, all thats familiar and comfortable. I do however know that it's a huge privilege to be able to go abroad for uni and so i just force myself to board the plane everytime. I know one day ill look back and be proud that i completed uni abroad and didn't waste an opportunity like that. i think it's important to look at what you're gaining by going out of your comfort zone instead of how sad/uncomfortable you might be feeling. :)

Ahhhh Lydia! I completely choked up about you not wanting to leave!! But think about it this way, when travelling you make memories. Those will last you a lifetime. And you can lose éverything, but not those memories! The good part of travelling, is the fact you always return! So thàt makes the journey more worth while! Put it in prospective. I know how you feel - I never used to suffer with home sickness when I lived with my parents but when I bought my house I now suffer with it, to the point where I don't even like to be at other people's houses for long periods of time! Hi Lydia! Thanks for another great video! I love seeing parts of London again, work used to take me there and I've always enjoyed the vibe. For years I tried to think of ways of how I could relocate (from the US), but never followed through. Anyhoo, that's not proper vlog feedback now is it! I'm writing because I have a suggestion for your homesickness: each night while in your different surroundings, write 3 things you are grateful for from that day, let it really resonate and bring you feelings of happiness and gratitude; then, write 3 things that you're looking forward to the next day. Again, take your time, enjoy the process. If you start to drift back to your other thoughts of your home, go back to your lists to help keep you focused on the positive. For your home sickness remedy, take a piece from your home and bring it when you travel. Display it in your hotel or put it in your handbag and look at it whenever your tummy feels bad :). Hope it helps xoxo

Lydia- I have the same issue, but really push through it for my son. When I was your age, I was a flight attendant and always traveling. I think that's what mine stems from, but you can't stay home forever. The "butterflies" will always be there. Your mind is a strong thing and can overcome many things. You just have to try and think happy thoughts and know home (and Lumi) will be waiting for you to return.

I totally understand your home sickness issue as I have a hard time leaving home as well... it's got to be for a very good reason! When you make your own nest super cozy and beautiful it makes it that much harder to want to leave :) That said, what I do love about going away is the adventure and gratitude upon return. Lydia, I completely understand and I have the same issue so let me share with you what helps me. This of course doesn't solve it but it does help. I find this always happens to me when I travel for work or when we go off for a weekend get away but I bring a favorite sweater or an item that smells like home. I have my Meteorite Illuminating Powder Pearls that I always bring and they smell so amazing but it warms my heart and reminds me of home. Again it doesn't solve it but it does help! i can 100% relate with the home sickness problem, i have become so picky about where i stay overnight that i hardly ever do anything social because of it. It seems like there is no "cure" to my feelings so i just end up dealing with the sadness. In all serious there's different types of agrarphobia & one is were you hate staying in hotels and vision things going wrong in your house like the water leaking or burning down, best cure for this is to get a tent in the summer and stay in the garden, agrarphobia therapy. merry Christmas anyway x
