Thank you for another great video! You're right about the different moods of each town. That's why I like to look at what the locals are wearing beforehand - chances are, they know the best fabrics and clothes for that environment - and try to find pieces like that from my wardrobe that match. I personally like to use cycling sport shorts under short skirts or dresses. They're made of technical material so they won't feel as hot as cotton shorts and they're handy in avoiding a Marilyn Monroe moment, so to speak. Light colours are also usually the best for tropical environments! Looking forward to the next video, thank you Alyssa!

Love love your videos! And am so jealous of your extended stay travels! Here's an idea. I would love to see that black maxi dress styled where you bring the neckline up tightening the shoulder straps and wrapping the extra straps around your body (a la Greek Goddess ;) thus shortening the dress to your ankles (so it doesn't drag on those dusty dirty streets), defines your torso, and shows off some beautiful sandals.

Yes! Do this for each season! I also put a lot of thought into packing based on my destination. I will literally go to my stylist and say, ok 10 days Turkey…..Istanbul and Mediterranean coast! And we work on the color palette, fabrics that work with the climate, and beach vs city ensemble. Great video! Love your Channel.

Alyssa I really enjoy your style. I am from Melbourne. The style would fit in with one exception - the baseball cap would mark you as an American or Canadian tourist. Not common here unless mixed with hoodies or people with hip hop inspired style.

Great video, thank you for all these ideas! My issue when I travel is that I personally use a lot of SPF and I don't want to spoil my best clothes. When I travel I always use the pieces in my wardrobe that I don't care so much. The result is that I don't feel exactly myself!

I would bring a little brooch with a strong fastener to pin the split on the maxi dress at the thigh so you feel more covered in really conservative traditional cultures like Calcutta or Delhi where showing a lot of leg is frowned upon.

Thank you for such an interesting theme. I live in a holiday destination city surrounded by the sea which is hot and humid for months. As much as I love creating outfits with different tops and bottoms I find that the most comfortable outfit in summer is a ....dress! The difficulty is finding breathable fabrics lined with breathable fabrics. I have a beautiful silk/cotton blend lined in polyester!!
