At 4:50 you say that Jupiter looses it's heat to the tiny amount of particles in outer space. No. The particles you talk about could not do that, as if they would need to touch Jupiter to do so, and if they did, they would fall onto Jupiter. It looses it's heat by radiating it away until it hits temperature equilibrium (when it radiates as much energy away as it gets from the sun's radiation). That is also the reason why in that game, a planet will always come back to it's temperature, save when you change it's material composition and thus move the equilibrium. An example to that is the greenhouse effect, that is, more carbon dioxide, higher equilibrium.
@rebeccaconlon97437 жыл бұрын
2:20 it's only explosive is Oxygen in involved... it's called combustion, where as hot gasses moving etc due to high pressures and friction then yeah I could believe that... 4:48 Only 1 of the 3 forms of cooling can really occur with space, Radiating the heat away which is the most inefficient way of cooling, so this likely happened over a large number of years, due to Hydrogen and Helium's heat capacity. Also it would still be very hot but not in the visible spectrum (see black body radiation curve) 5:50 if you're intending on making a 2nd star using jupiter look to increasing it's mass to 0.05-0.1 solar mass (0.05 to 0.1 times the mass of our sun) 6:00 conservation of momentum - you are putting a large object in the direct path of it's orbit, it's like having a wall in front of a car, it's going to slow it down. In regards to orbits you need to go faster to get further away, so if you go slower you're going to get pulled that little more into the gravity well. 6:30 - Stopped watching...
