Earth already has two moons. The 2nd "Moon" is an asteroid, called 2016 HO3. It has been orbiting Earth for nearly a century, but it has only been noticed by astronomers recently. The Moon always has a circular orbit, but 2016 HO3 orbits from 38x (14607200 km) up to 100x (38440000 km) the distance from Earth to the Moon.

The hardest part of that would be getting moons to orbit the Moon around the Gas Giant. The Gas Giant’s dominate gravity makes this incredibly difficult. I've tried to get this to succeed but it might be only possible with asteroids orbiting the Moon. Put the moons too close to the Moon and they fall in and get ripped to shreds. Too far and they get flung into an elliptical orbit around the Gas Giant or crash into it.

The 'great impact" theory, is not mathematically possible for the moon to end up in its current orbit another theory must take its place. There's probably a dozen or more theories about the origin of the Moon and none of them work mathematically. I'm introducing one that I have yet to see if it works mathematically it sure works everywhere else. In fact it answers all of the mysteries in problems that plate tectonics cannot answer I would like to set straight now that they're just plates there's no tectonic to it. What they're perceiving as dynamic crust is san effect from when the earth captured the Moon pretty much like it is except for the big scars that's from skidding across the Pacific or what is now the Pacific. I've been working on this for 25 years not solid but in my spare time. I formed the hypothesis in 1998 it has morphed in many ways since then and recently I asked the whole thing and went back to my original hypothesis which was ridiculously accurate.. yes I went through the whole plate tectonic gobbledy goop rigmarole and was repeating things that I've read in textbooks or her geologists say in lectures. Wrong wrong for too long everybody's wrong and that's right

Orbital mechanics is counter intuitive. To speed up, you slow down and vice versa. Slowing puts the moon into a smaller, closer orbit which means it has less distance to cover. Speeding up forces the other moon into a larger orbit further out.
@kurax91156 жыл бұрын
