@byronlyons35482 жыл бұрын
@@cantthinkofausername5848 That's more because they gave Cloud feats he doesn't actually have, such as Bahamut's speed from an intro cutscene, that it doesn't use during it's fight against Cloud. And I don't know, they seem to nerf Link more than they did making him stronger. Because it's as someone else said about that Death Battle Video where it's just: "let’s see how many things we can have him throw at Cloud without having any kind of look into his stats, character or feats. I honestly guarantee you that that Death Battle was written with the sole intention of 'Woah, this Cloud guy’s actually pretty busted in Versus matches, let’s give him a guy to fight' cause that’s all Link is in that episode: An Obstacle." As they really did in fact not state any proven strength, such as Breath of the Wild Link does here, adding in how much strength the gauntlets multiply that (which Matpat did a thorough review on that), stacked with red ring, stacked with attack buff foods, etc. Like, a lot of this stuff that adds on and multiplies, the further the stuff you give him. And not just he has more items. Let alone Link's speed, and how fast he is, and how fast he perceives things. A lot of these things went plainly ignored, just for stating the obvious of Link is a hero, he gets reincarnated, yada yada. Here's lots of weapons he could use. And nothing at all remotely close to this video has shown. So with them trying to attempt to "correct" their mistakes, they still ended up getting a lot of it wrong. On both sides even.

@@Zsoltosz1 I am pretty sure BOTW Zelda had the complete Triforce. Whenever the power of the Triforce is used, the symbol would appear. When Ganon used it in Oot, and in Twilight, only the Power section glowed. The same applies for the Zeldas of those games, only the Wisdom section glowed. When Link got the Triforce pieces in Skyward Sword, only the parts he obtained glowed. In BOTW, on the other hand, when Zelda used her powers, the mark of the Triforce appears on her hand, and ALL the sections are glowing: Power, Wisdom, and Courage. This would explain how she was able to go through an army of Guardians, and then took Ganon himself all alone. As for the Time theory, I doubt it. In Oot, the Master Sword was responsible for time-traveling. In Majora's Mask, it was the Ocarina and the Goddess of Time, who decided to help via the ocarina. In Skyward Sword, it was the Timeshift stones and the Gates of Time. And we know that when Link dies, he just dies. The Fallen Hero timeline exists for a reason.

Hi Zeltik, student in mechanical physics here. First of let me say I really enjoy your content and your videos are awesome. Unfortunately for this one you kinda got mixed up. Nearly every one of your calculation do not work in that context. Skipping the math, the initial speed of the Boulder is 95m/s (assuming the talus threw it at 45° angle, the most optimal for a throw in distance). Then, calculating the acceleration on impact is fruitless since it instantly blows on impact, the way around that is calculating the acceleration on throw witch is the same since the energy is conservative. Assuming the Talus accelerate the Boulder in 0.5s, we get a healthy 24 890 000 N. If you are curious on the math skipped, I'll send it to you.

I would argue against a few of the assumptions made in the calculations, though I admit the assumptions I would make don't make it any more exciting. The most important that the rock is solid all the way through and as dense as granite. My reasons being this. 1) the rock breaks upon impact with the ground. 2) this organic or quasi organic creature hurls it's "arm" at you but then somehow regenerates it by slamming itself into the ground and pulling something out. This implies a couple things, either the creature can control rocks to use as arms or it has some sort of connection to the rock it throws that disconnects. This makes the most sense when comparing the unbroken rock to the broken if the Talus is using earth or rock as something like armor that it can condense over its true form. A true form that is potentially exposed on its weak point. Since a Talus takes on the traits of the surrounding terrain such as the molten and frozen Talus' elemental traits it seems more likely to me that the Talus controls the land around it and uses it as a sort of armor, rather than it truly being its body. Such would also explain why a smaller Talus may have less relatice sturdiness as surface area and depth can be a major factor while maintaining the same basic form.
@johnjacobjingleheimerschmi66555 жыл бұрын
I was going to say something similar... Since the boulders are grabbed from surface level ground, i would assume it's density is less than granite. You would also have to think about how moist the dirt is. And as you said, elemental magic.... unpredictable. The moral of the story is dirt is heavy.

It’s official. Link’s a cryptid. And the weapons’ durability isn’t the issue, oh no. It’s just Link.
@lordofuzkulak83085 жыл бұрын
Anonymous Fellow pretty much explains why Link is the only one in all of Hyrule that suffers from weapon breakage. Really puts into context how bad the Calamity was if even if he fell when he has such great power.
@anonymousfellow88794 жыл бұрын
Lord of Uzkulak Exactly. And lorewise...the Calamity being onpar with Demise, not Ganon(dorf). Which even if you don’t need the MasterSword to beat back the Malice (although it’s essentially Link buying Zelda a much needed chance to catch her breath), that Cocoon was more than likely Demise Proper attempting to return after rejecting the Zombiefied Ganondorf (and that freaking Seal only sealing Ganondorf’s Soul but...actually pulling the Malice out. No cunning from a mostly dead, tortured corpse. Just the cunning of a much greater evil going Plan C.) ...also?? Disembodied hands in the Zelda Franchise have *never* been good?! The most Neutral we get are the hands controlled by that TotG Automaton to test a Hero Candidate, and the flipping toilet hand yokai with consent issues in various games (MM, Ages, SS. The Ages one gives you its bag of poop. The SS actually molests someone nightly.) And Zant Hands. And the massive wallmaster that chases you in AttP and LBW (with LBW having it as a boss). Bongobongo. WALL AND FLOOR MASTERS in almost every game installment. The Hand. Isn’t. Good. (Kill It with Din’s Fire. At the very least it failed so bad (possibly twice) that it’s arguably intentional.) And in the Timelines...Ghirahim is obsessed with going GrabbyGrab. Which...he’s known to mess with (Demise) Seals, the Seal is the same spiral as the Sealed Grounds (which also used a stake in a similar way as the Hand is pushing down on a wound), and it’s the same movement/side as how Ghirahim would try to steal Link’s sword when the hand attacks Link (yet ignores the Malice. It goes straight to Link.)

You could use the hearts lost at this experiment as a scale to determine Lynel true attack potency (using the same outfits from the video, of course). Talos' Rock Throw is around Building Level. Considering how much hearts a Lynel strike takes, the results would be bizarre. City Level or Small Island Level, I suppose.

6:14 this only includes horizontal velocity. Since this is a form of projectile motion you would also need to include the vertical component. The actual speed of the boulder would be higher including acceleration due to gravity.

I just played through the Deku Tree in OoT Master Quest again. There's some weird things when you fall down the hole. There's a Block resembling the Temple of Time Stone blocks, and a Block with the Gerudo Emblem on it. I also notice the 3 Deku Scrubs that guard the door to Gohma address Gohma as their Queen. How does that work? Gohma is supposed to be a parasite spawn sent by Ganondorf, how does he even control it and where did Gohma come from? And why are Deku scrubs following it as their Queen? Would be interesting if Ganondorf somehow brought the Gerudo block into the deku tree, but why is there a temple of time block as well?

@princesscadance1974 жыл бұрын
I was always surprised that my maxed set of soldier’s armor cut down the damage taken from the thing down to a quarter of a heart. You don’t have to be a master of physics to know that being smacked by a literal giant rock is imparting massive, lethal amounts of force, enough to kill most people outright, or get them into critical condition if they survive.
@annecantgame5 жыл бұрын
I've actually found the two handed weapons that link can wield like the Royal Claymores that does 52 damage with every hit, or the Ancient battle axe +++ that does 60 damage. Having enough stamina would allow you to spin and continue hitting the ore deposit on the top or back of the talus itself. Giving you the time to deal as much damage as possible in the short amount of time you're able to be on the talus.
