Not an easter egg from another game, but I noticed something humorous in Gerudo Town. In the romance school, there are male "dummies" used for practice (I'd assume). In one of the houses in town, you can find one propped up next to someone's bed.

@@clco1253 Sword and Shield weren't rushed because of fans. Game Freak could've easily delayed their game. But Nintendo/TCPI wanted to meet a Christmas release and to push console sales. Then there's the fact that Pokemon is not just two games but a franchise. As a franchise, there are many different parts than just the Games, (The Anime, TCG, Plushes/Shirts/Merchandise, Manga, etc). All of these rely on the video games coming out on time, as they're either a commercial for video games (The Anime) or they rely on the video games for profit.

Eventide is a beautiful reference to Link's Awakening, as you explained so well. But it also reminds me a lot of Crescent Island in Oracle of Ages. You get there after your raft is struck by lightning and the Tokay (local lizard people) steal all your equipment, so you have to recover each item from them. I guess Crescent Island itself is also a reference to LA, now that I think about it.

I loved coming across all these references to places from past games, names that are familiar but recognizably different...discovering them, trying to place where you'd heard them and why this word would have survived in this form, really felt like triggering forgotten memories from a hundred years ago (a hundred lives ago...)
