I’m soccer/football we don’t have drafts. All young aspiring pros will join the Academy of a team and train and play in professional Under age leagues (the high aged the more skilled they are so sometimes you’ll see like a really 15 year old in under 18s or if they’re that good even the first team). The highest under age team is the Under 21s of which from that they will most times either join the first team or be released. From there it’s up to the club. For trades our version is loans and transfers. Transfer is when they move to a new club for a amount of money which is organised by the clubs or player worry about is the contract. Loans is when a club temporarily takes a player for 6-24 months most often used in young talents to give them experience
