I love how optimistic this ends up being while still roughly going along with Dragonball events. A lot of what-ifs make it clear that if X happens, things tend to turn out really horribly at some point and/or things change drastically. But no, this one ends with a saiyan race redeemed, Goku is still Goku but gets raised by his parents, and Bardock and his wife have a fairly peaceful life once King Cold is dealt with. The events of Dragonball still happen, but things turn out for the better overall.

This was absolutely fantastic. Loved every second of it. Also, never realised that the earth deagonballs couldnt bring back someone without their body, or at least I forgot anyway. I think a cool adventure for them to go on after this would be to go to Namek to use their deagonballs to bring Raditz back, since they clearly could being Krillin and co back after over a year. So I see no reason they couldnt bring Raditz back. They could still learn of Namek by talking to Kami and Popo, since that's how they learned of it in the first place.

I don’t even like Dragon Ball but I find this guy to be really good when it comes to his plot sense If he made books I would probably buy them. This is not the original comment just a lot of stuff I added onto you don’t need to read all of the following: I thought the replies were gonna be toxic and the mood was not gonna be lackadaisical for the wrong reasons. I will admit I was wrong the community here was incredibly respectful and polite in disagreements. I am not saying this for any peculiar reason, however, I thought this community deserved recognition which actually might be seen as peculiar to some. According to Carthu's video about what if Broly landed on earth, Broly can't use God Ki because he has too much Ki to pull into his body, which is how God Ki works. Maybe they'd try, but it wouldn't work.

I think it’s because he was on the ship that doesn’t specifically made for training or he thought that super saiyan is unbeatable like what most of the saiyans think. And to be fair, even if he was above 500,000 like 2 time or more. The result would remain the same. Vegeta is prove to have more potential than Goku when it come to power and Goku have more potential than Bardock. He have a training chamber specifically made for training Better training and potential would allow him to surpass Bardock so in conclusion even if Bardock train, Vegeta would still beat the saiyan crap out of him.

Minor gripe. Super Broly was still born on the same day as Goku, so in the context of this story wouldn't Broly still be a child upon his confrontation with Bardock? I doubt he would be any kind of challenge for Bardock in that case.

Goku and Gine’s time at Kame house would likely be very rough on Roshi. Because his student sending them to him likely would mentioned her being married, and them essentially being a visiting divine royalty of a distant planet. Meaning, the turtle hermit would have to hide his adult material stash extremely well, and instinctively be on his best behavior as a sensei and host. Without a form of higher divine inauguration, Bardock being the king of the planet, essentially also made him the god as well all but unofficially.

The Dragon Balls can bring anyone back to life no matter how long they have been dead it's multiple people that it cannot bring back more than a year

They can bring back anyone who hasn't reincarnated. In the case of heroes blessed with permission to retain their own body, this is theoretically unlimited. In the case of evil bastards, it will last until Hell grinds away their ego and they succumb to the forces of the circle of life. In most cases, it's probably something like 9-10 months, with a soul linking to a fetus but not descending and getting wiped clean until the birthing process begins

The "on year" rule is a lot of people misremembering or misunderstanding. The Dragon Balls can bring back any consenting person as long as their soul is in Other World. However, if they bring back multiple people _at once,_ then those people need to have died within one year of each other. For instance, if you wished for the Dragon Balls to bring back all Saiyans who died on Earth, it couldn't, because Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, Raditz, and Nappa all died more than a year apart from one another. (Or well, Goku and Trunks died right at the same time but that's not the point.)

My only complaint to this amazing story: the first wish on the Dragon Balls- which Gine WAS present for in this one- could have been to "revive Raditz on Earth", or even one of the other years they were training and not making any wishes. Still a good story regardless, but would have completed their family.

This was probably one of the best possible endings. Essentially peace until Moro, Granolah, and whatever is in the future comes around. But, lets be honest, basically a boosted powered Goku, Vegeta, Broly, Gohan, and even lesser fighters like Bardock, the entire saiyan race, Buu, Goten, Trunks, and even possibly Uub in the future. Pretty good circumstances if you ask me. Also adding the fact that they’d have a lot of time to train because of a lot of peace. I’d say a pretty good “What if” story.
