I feel like at some point they'll wish for Shenron to make them younger to undo the time they wasted in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber but only the time they wasted inside the time chamber and not any time they've spent outside. I think it'll be super specific because they're like that

The problem here is that frieza was shown in super to be a low level threat permitted by the gods and the kais, so king Kai intervening to help goku against him, it retroactively makes no sense he wouldn’t similarly intervene to help all of his students against the androids. So the fact that other world is completely locked off as a support system for future gohan and trunks is a plot hole. When the series ended with buu you could at least argue that threat was to the whole universe so other world HAD to intervene. Super makes that irrelevant

I think I can generally buy the idea that they didn’t have the infrastructure to get there, the androids wouldn’t have let a ship leave earth, and they didn’t know where new namek was. The problem is that the idea that the dead characters in other world would not have tried in some way to facilitate this is completely ludicrous when compared against the rest of the series after the androids saga. I would even argue that it contradicts King Kai helping against Frieza which happens in both timelines !

Max Power Final Form was Frieza's first amped "transformation," while Fifth Form Cooler was his first amped "transformation." Fourth Form is technically both Frieza's and Cooler's final forms, which is part of why we've all sort of questioned if King Cold has other forms or not.

So basically the plot hole is less about not being able to build a spaceship and way more about King Kai not helping them find New Namek for some reason. I can’t really buy that Bulma had more trouble rebuilding something she reverse engineered already than she would have with inventing a whole new machine altogether. But I can absolutely buy that finding New Namek without anybody giving them a clue of where they should look would be basically impossible. I don’t really know why King Kai wouldn’t help them, though.

The reason he's weak is because plot. DBZ is the kind of show where you can become over 10x stronger than before with just a few days of training (and not even in the time chamber).

The only theory would be massive amounts of stress caused the saiyan body to grow at an accelerated rate. Gohan since he was 5 years old had to deal with losing his dad, being trained by piccolo in the wilderness, headin to namek and thinking his dad was dead again. Trained in the hyperbolic time chamber, fought against cell and lost his father yet again. Future trunks went through the ordeal of losing almost everyone and this caused him to age quicker. The present trunks and goten, despite dealing with majin buu, it was supposedly only in the span of one day, not enough time to stress too much. And yes despite training in the hyperbolic time chamber it wasn’t enough time or stress over a longer period to necessitate them growing up faster.

I blame Chi-Chi. If she had actually encouraged Gohan to train as a discipline so that he could keep up his strength while still studying for school, they wouldn't have even needed Goku. I especially blame her as her training Goten proves her hypocrite.

Who messed up the most is Toriyama when he decided to make every character a dumb ass just for his story to not end in 20 seconds and for Goku to still and always be the one who infuriatingly gets the spotlights at the end.

I gotta say, Friezas appearance at the end of this arc is probably one of my favorite scenes in all of dragon ball. He shows up, easily kills the strongest guy in the universe, ONE SHOTS Goku and Vegeta in their strongest forms, and leaves. Like… the disrespect is insane

I wouldn’t say that Bulma forgetting to bring the dragon radar was a mistake, people were dying left and right, her best friend’s son was allegedly killed, her husband turned evil, and then she found out later on that he died to the same creature that kills her and her family. The dragon radar was the last thing on her mind.
