What If Count Dooku TRAINED ANAKIN After Qui-Gon Died

This was extremely entertaining. I have always liked Dooku, long before the Tales of the Jedi episodes that provided more explanation for his turn from the Jedi. With him training Anakin and Obi Wan for a decade, they certainly would be much more powerful than we saw in the Episode 2 timeline. The best part here is that Dooku, like original timeline Darth Vader, does what the "junior Lord of the Sith" does by turning on the master, and once again like the original timeline Darth Vader, ceased being a Sith. In a sense, with your story, you provided us with a "Return of the Jedi" with Dooku, Obi Wan, and Anakin being the Jedi who return (instead of just Anakin in the original timeline), and by Anakin strike the blow to eliminate Sidious, you prove him to be The Chosen One. So, Dooku does the Sith betrayal thing, yet does the right thing despite the fact that he was never as far gone as Vader, and Qui Gon's understanding of the prophecy is spot on. The reordering of the Jedi Order away from the political machinations of the Senate is also a great touch. All in all, I am impressed here. Thank you for your effort.

It was a very good story, imagine an Anakin and Obi-Wan (who was very powerful as well) being more central, rather than light side, using some dark side powers, but not falling to the dark side. Anakin being in control of his emotions because he is allowed to express them, rather than told to bottle them up, Dooku I'm sure would train Anakin to channel his emotions into something useful. Plus I'd imagine Dooku would train them both to be diplomats and scholars and they'd be a lot smarter than in the original timeline.

Here is one I've been wondering about: what if Padme went into labor a day or two early and had the twins then? It would mean that Anakin's visions were incorrect as Padme survived childbirth, but he would also likely then have to answer for being the father of the twins and marrying Padme. Or would he still be able to hide it? The emperor's plans for Anakin would be messed up, but the emperor also would then likely choose not to reveal himself as a sith lord. Just an idea for you.

100% He was a Grey Jedi after all, just like his student. They both saw things from a different perspective than others, he was using Sidious as much as Sidious was using him. He was certainly no angel, but he did seem to want to change the stagnant ways of the republic and the Jedi.

It honestly always seemed baffling that Dooku was Qui Gon's master, yet he so quickly sided with the man who is responsible for the death of his apprentice and started a civil war with no real plan for coming out on top himself. It's nice to see a scenario where his actions end up making more sense

Dooku had plans to overthrow Sidious eventually and take control of the Empire for himself. And technically Maul is the one who killed Qui Gon and as we see in the comics. When Dooku finally confronts Maul in person, he does not hold back and is dead set on murdering Maul. No doubt because he feels like he must avenge Qui Gon as he still cares about him.

Duuko wouldn't have had the time to leave the order if they went to the Jedi temple directly after his death. Also even if! The rule of two forbids Dooku from getting an apprentice! Let alone two!

There’s a couple problems with this statement. 1) Dooku in canon had several apprentices. 2) almost every Sith apprentice had an apprentice in order to betray their master, and in some cases even the masters had extra apprentices at their disposal. Such as Darth Tenebrous who had Venamis to test Hego Damask, aka Darth Plagueis. Darth Vader also had several apprentices, though in Legends. I expect Disney to retcon their take from the force unleashed and have galen marek in the star wars canon lore at some point. I applaud you for the effort but you have failed miserably.

Luke and Leia wouldn't be born, so Obi-wan and Yoda would go into hiding with no hope of turning Vader back to the light. They and the rest of the Jedi would probably go into hiding forever with no hope of defeating Sidious and Vader, and the Jedi would truly end :(

Dooku can't train Anakin to BE a Jedi outside the Jedi Order. Obi Wan's promise was to train Anakin to be a Jedi, wasn't it? ...or was it just to train the boy? Outside the Order, he could only learn the ways of the Force, but not be a Jedi. He's no Jedi. ;-)

just started watching ... I wondered about something since Tails of the Jedi ... something has me confused. I think its the timeline that has me all messed up. I understand Dooku was frustrated with the Jedi and all but ... TOTJ made it seem like when Qui Gon died, Dooku knew about Sidious for years ... maybe I am confusing Cannon and Legends but I thought he didn't know about Pal/Sidious being a sith UNTIL AFTER Qui Gon died I am not sure why but that completely confuses me

Once Anakin and Obi-Wan had served their purpose, Dooku would have betrayed both of them by having them killed -- so that they could never pose a threat to his role as supreme ruler. He then, in the spirit of the "rule of two," would have recruited an apprentice similar to Darth Maul and made him his slave. That's what it is to be a Sith Lord. Your only loyalty is to power itself, and your only goal is to become as God-like as possible. And the more God-like a Sith Lord becomes, the more enslaved everyone else becomes.
