I have a theory I haven't seen anyone make yet that I find kind of interesting and that is that these What If stories are actually from the 1st multiversal war that was mentioned in Loki and that the series ends with these multiverse's converging into the sacred timeline. Season 2 of what if could then be stories from the developing multiverse.

With these little teases they’re doing, whether direct or indirect, along with the fact that it definitely seems we’re gonna be getting the Midnight Sons, it’s very likely. And if we were to get a Midnight Sons trilogy (which I hope we would) he likely wouldn’t even be the first villain. I could see them having him pop up in smaller roles in other projects like Dr. Strange, Ghost Rider, maybe a Dr. Doom origin project? And after years of buildup he could be the villain of a 2nd or 3rd Midnight Sons film. If they do introduce him I wouldn’t think they’ll just use him right away and be done, that’d be wasted potential

Honestly, I don't think anything's influencing Dr. Strange. What with lines like "the problem is you trying to live two different lives" and him being so willing to do the spell, I think what he's trying to do is teach Peter a lesson. That he can't just run from this. That he can't just push all his problems away. He can't just try to force everything back to the way it was. That he needs to own up to this and make the best of it. That's what I think he's trying to do. Or he's just acting wildly out of character and fans are scrambling to find a rational explanation for it. That's a possibility, too.

If you remember since the trailer shows Peggy and strange at the same point in time as she walked through the portal with the tentacle monster on shields base with the pieces flying out behind her could've been at the same time strange finally cut part of them off. That proves the trailer when they met

I think strange just reverted back to his normal form. The looked like his monster form just got sucked back within himself. The monsters didn't leave him. We also saw strange revert back to his human form multiple times after absorbing different monsters so it's possible that he just reverted back to his human form willingly. We also saw in his fight against good strange that he can shape shift into the monsters he devoured. He also wasn't surprised when he changed back to his human form which could mean that he didn't separate from them at all. Also I don't think he absorbed dormamu. If he did he would've easily taken out the good doctor strange even if good strange had all those defense spells on him. His magic was also still reddish when he tried to stop the world from being destroyed meaning he still has the power the monsters gave him. If he lost the monsters the color of his magic would've turned back to that light orange/ yellow color.

I thought about the Peggy thing and the screen shot of her and Strange. We just assume that she comes back through the portal right after she left, but she could have been there a few hours, a day, two weeks, and she would have still wondered what happened and if we won the war, etc. Evidently time passed outside the portal so maybe her and strange met while in that alternate timeline/dimension. We don’t know yet what the blue portals really are. We can assume from context clues they are other dimensions but we aren’t for sure.

i feel like and im probably wrong but mordo being pointed out had me thinking. the theory of him being the one who shot christine actually is a good possible theory to me. he wasn’t in this episode and it seemed like he didn’t exist since he wasn’t mentioned, but the ancient one has lived for centuries right and she knew dr strangers accident was supposed to happen in order to have him become the sorcerer supreme. so maybe... just maybe in this universe since it’s all about endless possibilities and realities, mordo could have existed but only known by the ancient one and maybe wong. which means, maybe he was sent to kill christine in order for strange to defeat dormammu so whenever strange travels back to prevent her from dying, mordo travels or no matter what, is going to be in that timeline ( or a version of him ) with strange to be sure that she dies anyway. maybe he was the one to run them off the road, cause her heart attack, randomly shoot her in the pizza shop. I won’t lie, this theory actually had me thinking. because how does someone randomly come in just to shoot someone? i mean it happens but it’s weird. her death probably wasn’t destined to happen , but chosen. possibly by the ancient one which could be a stretch but you never know.

It's a Flerken! 😉 Caglirosto, the real one from our universe (so to speak 😉) was a self-styled magician and actually just a charlatan and imposter, once called "The quack of quacks" Actually, I've seen something verrry similar to this episode in Fringe. In Episode 2.18 "White Tulip" Peter Weller plays a MIT astrophysic who lost his loved one and tries to undo his fiance's death by jumping back in time ( does so by integrating apparatuses into his body) however creating a time loop just like Strange that could really have severe consequences... He finally makes one last jump, gets to his fiance into the car just before it is hit and both die. The whole thing sounds, after watching the episode, weirdly familiar.

This version of Dr. Strange craved power in order to change a fixed point. Eric is actually right when he says the tentacle monster is continuity. Since it is outside of the Marvel Universes as was implied with most of the other creatures evil strange summoned. Since it is considered outside of the current dimension. So it is either A) The same one or B) A monster that is different but looks the same. I also don’t think Peggy defeated it, just the tentacle parts of it(that could easily be in the hundreds or millions or even if not, still be able to regenerate). Even if she did defeat it, it could be explained by Peggy being later on in the timeline (assuming timelines of universes run parallel to each other).

Basically Dr Strange has to lose something he values above all. In the main MCU timeline that is his hands, his life has no meaning outside of his work.But in this universe he has an actual healthy, loving relationship with Christine, meaning that he has something he values above his skills. If he had lost his hands in this universe, I assume he'd be able to overcome it with Christine's help and make peace with it. Therefore he wouldn't seek out Kamar Taj and never become a sorceror. So this universe had to compensate with taking Christine out of the equation to make it happen.

You're right. Also, one thing I've noticed is that after he completes his training, his hands don't shake all the time. Like that guy who used magic to fix his spine, Stephen can stop his hands from shaking. They only shake when he's not actively focusing his energy on stopping it, so usually when he performs spells his hands still shake. Like here where Peter keeps distracting him.

The theory about Dr strange's hands in the no way home trailer isn't actually that far fetched when this universes Dr Strange has the time stone but our main universe doesn't because it was destroyed.... Yet he's wearing it in most of the trailer

Morto is the guy that kills her everytime. He shot her, he drives the car and he was the one to set the fire and even maybe poisoned her too. Thats why he never showed up in the episode. Maybe that bald lady, sorcerer Supreme is the one that made him do it. She is a shady lady. Idk! Just thinking outside the box

Since Dr. Strange uses a time stone to reverse time, in conjunction with the defacto theory that infinity stones are useless outside of their specific universe, it makes sense that he’s “stuck” in this time line and why there’s slightly different rules
