Lol, I don’t get how you’re so into this, and say you want more humor like this in the main movies, but you don’t like it when they do it on Guardians of the Galaxy!! Or any of the others you thought had “too much humor.”🤔 Guardians 2 is one of the most meaningful in the whole lineup! @@portalina I've said in my reactions before that the humor is funny or unfunny to me depending on who is saying it, who they're saying it to, and the overall context of it. I connect much more with a lot of the characters that aren't part of the main Guardians crew. That said, I definitely think my rating will increase for GotG when I go back and revisit it, now that I've had a lot of time away from it. First time watching reactions doesn't necessarily mean that I will always feel that way about it. You're just watching my initial thoughts.

When Thor came out in theaters Marvel released an official tie-in comic called "Fury's Big Week" which is where they revealed that Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2 and Thor all take place simultaneously (the first time in the MCU that they established a definitive timeline and also explaining why neither Fury nor Coulson has no presence in Incredible Hulk). I **THINK** this is the first MCU production that acknowledges the big week on film. I love the first episode the best of these three. When I first watched it I had no idea why Bradley Whitford was voicing a random army jerk because I had somehow missed the Agent Carter One-Shot. You mentioned you had the urge to rewatch the Incredible Hulk .... you actually might want to before continuing on, especially if the details are fuzzy.

An interesting detail I heard when the third episode came out: Wherever they say Hope died is the same place and time as where Natasha says she met (and got shot by) the Winter Soldier. So it’s very possible he killed Hope in this universe

The “creamy” aspect you referred to is speaking to their color palette. Marvel has a color palette to unify their films. The “creamy” effect is likely an attribute of animating in 3D and then rendering in 2D to get the effect you’ve keenly noticed. :-)

For the record, in case it hasn't been said, Red Skull summoning a monster to fight his war against a Captain America-like character during World War II is much more comic-book accurate than you might think.

Hearing Yondu say to T'Challa," There's no place in this universe you don't belong." It always hits me because that line wasn't just to his character but to Chadwick Boseman himself. That episode showed that one character can truly make an impact on the universe by simply being them.

Hey, so, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D began with phase 2, and they connect to the movies in some instances, so if you intend to rewatch the MCU you might want to look up in which episodes AoS connects with which movies and watch them along with one another. Idk, it's just something that occured to me and I thought was too good of an oportunity for you for me to not mention it.

So the dog appeared, along with Howard the Duck, in the first Guardians movie as part of The Collector’s collection. You might not have noticed, but she has a CCCP logo on her spacesuit. She is a character from the comics called Cosmo, a double meaning since she was launched by the Soviets and was sent to the cosmos. She is a very good dog.
@inspectre273 ай бұрын
Rumored to have been inspired by Laika, the actual dog the Soviets launched into space, the aftermath of which may have led to the anti-cruelty standards we have today. Fun fact: There is a scene in Hawkeye where Hailee Steinfeld is wearing a Laika t-shirt, i believe lifted from the comics. OK, I'll stop being a Laika fanboy now. 😊

Your enjoyment of this show is so great to see. Can't wait to see your reaction to the rest of the season. While I didn't grow up reading comics, I grew up around kids that did, and "what if" was a recurring theme. What if so-and-so fought so-and-so? What if so-and-so could do such-and-such? Then there's the elaborate stories that only a kid's imagination could possibly conceive that fill in how these crazy things play out in their head. I love the concept of turning that into an animated series, and they did an amazing job bringing that to the small screen.

“What if” is a really fun series, im pretty excited for season 2 coming this month. When I watched Agents of shield for the first time, I watched the entire series in 9 days & if I remember correctly it’s well over 100+ hours of episodes. You’ll grow to love the AOS characters Agents of shield ran from 2013-2020, Coulson prob has the most screen time out of any character in all of the MCU by miles & miles & miles (besides AOS, he still gets the most but his team are w him all the time) bear in mind the first 6 episodes are kinda slow ngl but the character development is needed, you always gotta remember w AOS, it just gets better & better I stand firm I loved Loki the show but it doesn’t even come close to AOS, AOS fav mcu show & Loki coming in at a strong 2nd. Agent Coulson & his team saving the world dozens & dozens of times before the superheros, civilians or military even get a chance to hear ab it, some of the threats being 100% avenger level threats Multiple instances where if they failed humanity would get wiped out or the population gets decimated to lower numbers & the guardians of the galaxy, avengers, etc. wouldn’t even know what was happening until it was too late

Kaiielle, you're not the only one who finds Sebastian Stan's voice acting a bit strange. Often, it doesn't really sound like Bucky to me. I feel similarly about Jeremy Renner's voice in this series, too. I'm thrilled that you're going to react to the Spider-Verse films! The animation in "What If?" is fun, but those movies -- and the story they're telling -- constantly blow me away.
@alanjones519911 ай бұрын
Love this show & the What If comics, great reactions too/again. If you do back it might also be worth checking out old… 🤔 let’s say New Rockstars KZbin videos, they break down movies and show you lots of things only comic readers might notice (could be for patreon) adds a lot of detail & silly things, like where you see lots of names in a show they are probably linked to the original comics, or some shows have hidden QR codes which are comics. I’d be careful when you get closer to up to date stuff as they might spoil (maybe get someone trusted to check first). Doesn’t have to be New Rockstars, there are a few that do it. If they are done at the time of Movie release they will have speculation of future directions, which in its self is a kind of what if lol. All us comic readers like to guess, think we know, but they are all What If’s with the MCU trying to keep us on our toes.

I am so glad you're totally digging _Agent Carter._ I thoroughly love the show, and thought the first episode, here, did as much justice to the character yet kept the setting grounded in believability as that series. I particularly loved the action sequence starting at roughly 04:45, as it highlights not only what could have been, but what I think _should_ have been. To say Steve was a ninety-eight-pound weakling is underselling it. This shows what happens when the formula was given to someone not only with greater moral fiber but with a body that, even at its absolute worst, is typical for her age and sex--but given than she's a member of S.S.R., she's much more likely to be in very good shape. That's why you get her throwing trucks over her shoulder where Steve gets sent flying like a paper airplane. I think it shows quite well how ignorant and stupefyingly blinding such sexism can be. Between the two, regardless of what one thinks about either, Carter is the clear better choice for the procedure. And 07:54, when you said now you wish this is what actually happened--me too. _Me too._ This is such a better set-up, setting, and story than we got in _Captain America: The First Avenger._ 10:45 I think Hayley Atwell is more than a skilled enough actress. I'm just not sure about the physicality. They'd probably keep Carter the same dimensions as her actress, which would be--I don't know. Weird. Ill-fitting. This growth in height and musculature is important, I feel, not only as a mirror to Steve's transformation in the "main" MCU continuity, but also to show that women _can_ be stronger, and look it. Over all, I'm not really fond of the new Hydra plot. I mean, granted, it's better than making laser guns in the 1940s, but there's no justification for it. The point at which this universe diverges from the main MCU universe is when Carter is "asked" to leave. In the main MCU she goes along with it, but here, she doesn't. I can sort of go with how that changes what the bad guy does who splodies the place, but Hydra would have been working on their plan--either plan--for weeks. Months. Years, likely. It doesn't keep me from thoroughly enjoying the episode, but it _is_ something of a mental stumbling block. Obviously, they did it to keep the narrative new and interesting, and I get that. You don't want to just rehash everything in a movie, to keep the audience from being bored if nothing else. Still, I'd've liked it to been closer to the movie's story, including the ice, waking up and discovering she isn't still in the 1940s, all that. The episode where T'Challa becomes Star-Lord, I think, works much better from a narrative point of view. The episode picks up so long after the point of divergence that I feel like it justifies the number of changes. I think it's somewhat similar for the third episode. We actually get to _see_ changes made as they happen, and they flow, more or less smoothly, from previous changes. This episode, too, is much more narratively satisfying. That said, of course, the first episode is hands-down my favorite of the three. Not even a contest. 😀

I think, after this, you could watch the spider-man movies, as the multiverse is now opened after Loki season 1. All of movies outside the MCU could be considered as now part of it through the multiverse. Just like the Spider-man movies before, i think all the X-men, Deadpool, and maybe Blade is needed, espeshally when as we speak Deadpool 3 is in development, with a lot of members of the older X-men movies (like Hugh Jackman, but i won't spoil who he plays). I know that a lot of people will say that you can watch all of these (S-M movies) before No way home, but ithink all the differences that all interpretations of the SAME character, really ties into this whole multiverse-saga, and What if too. And you will meet different variants, of different charaters in a lot of movies, just like in Loki. This is why I'm trying to convince you, because (unless you read the comics) otherwise you wouldn't meet for example the Fantastic 4 beforehand. I don't want to push all of these multiversal different movies at the same time, I'm just trying to help you (and others who now started waching Marvel) learn slowly over time, but to be able to catch different easter eggs, and references, that already happend, and will happen. Maybe idk like watch one of the X-men movies a month, trust me i know that 12-16 movies in a row can be overwhelming!
