Actually Steel Wool has said [Not sure if it’s completely canon yet] that for the next game the ideas were carnival and 70s. So in that case FNaF possibly could’ve started in the 70s. [Update: So FNaF actually could’ve started in the 30s -50s based of the art style of the Fredbear’s singing show poster so it is possible that there was a restaurant in the 50s]

Well Fredbear's Family Diner always gave me kind of 50's vibes, I forget canonically what year it was opened but the old poster collectibles from Security Breach definitely seem to evoke that era

I could totally see this working! I imagine that Freddy and Chica would be the popular highschool/university kids wearing letterman jackets and high tops, while Monty and Roxy would be the two greasers who're too cool for school with leather jackets and combat boots. Bonnie (in a WAY better design than his cannon look which isn't the best IMO) would be the sports player who's wearing a basketball jersey and athletic sneakers. Toss in Vanny as the school mascot, and you got basic 50's look down for the Glamrocks.

They are looking extremely adorable!! Edit: Ok I gotta say, for some reason this makes me think of Mary's Arcade. That one kind of evokes a classical 50s feel to me as well, with the clothes the animal mascots wear and such. It makes me think of the Martine books actually! We knew her as Anita in my country, but that's exactly what comes to mind when I look at Mary's Arcade and your designs for the FNaF gang! Very pleasant memories...
