King Gobbamark seems way too clunky. Its essentially a 'Mill your next Draw' if your opponent kills it on their turn, and you'll almost never get all the Spare Parts since youd have to have an empty hand(and if your win con revolves around the spare parts, you habe a very weird deck)

I think the Emergency Coolant buff is a bit TOO much. With how random Spare Parts are, it feels real bad to develop a good threat and get beaten out by a generated Ray of Frost + Silence in one card. It's REALLY good tempo as well and unlike a lot of the other Spare Parts, feels like an ideal curve filler that you can play along most minions. It might fit better with giving a bit of Armor (Neutral has had a recent pushback against getting efficient Silences but Neutral Armor gain seems to be more in favour) rather than Silence but that's just my take.

king gobbamak is really expensive for an effect that basically says "fill your hand with sh... scrap instead of drawing your deck". also you definitely won't be able to get all 10 of the spare parts at once what would be really cool (if not completely overpowered) is for the deathrattle to say "Get each Spare Part. Any that don't fit in your hand are cast on random friendly minions."

Hmmm... some of the Spare Parts might be bad for you though, like the one that switches Attack and Health. Maybe it could say "Any that don't fit are added when there's room" (but that might also mess with future draws).

These all look super well designed and would be a great addition to the game.. if it was still 2014. The power level of these cards would simply never keep up in wild, UNLESS- This mini-set PLUS the whole gvg expansion would see it's return into standard! Imagine if Blizzard, instead of making a "standard" expansion, made 3 mini sets for old expansions and brought those back into standard for a year. Not only is it a creative relief, but I bet they also have a bunch of unused art and idea's left from the old days that can make a return.

That's basically exactly how it would've played out in my mind; maybe some of the cards from GvG would even receive a small power boost before returning to standard. There's already a lot of KZbin channels doing just that, so I didn't really find time to include it in the video, but maybe in future episodes I could include a small note about it.

If you plan on supporting dk and dh during the mini set I’d probably thrown a legendary or two their way so they aren’t as shafted by the lack of core set support.

My plan is to rotate all classes so each eventually gets a legendary, but I could probably slot one or both in for next mini-set. I do have something special planned for DK and DH in the Mean Streets Mini-Set, but that's all I'll say for now ;)

While I really like this idea, it's very strange to approach it from today and use keywords/mechanics that didn't exist back then for this. B3333S is also weird since Magnetic isn't evergreen. It leads to a lot of this feeling like GvG reimagined today rather than a mini-set for GvG.

@@Axolo118 This is not true. Magnetic is NOT an evergreen keyword. It was added to to the 2023 and 2024 core set but will rotate out next year. It was temporarily brought back for Titans and that is it.

I'm sorry you didn't like this approach, but early on in the process I decided against doing period-based mini-sets for the series. Had I done so I would also need to print cards on the same power level of the ones from each expansion which is not only hard to do, but also feels pointless since it would mean these cards could never see play if printed in Hearthstone (and I would probably also get a lot of comments pointing that out). It would also mean I couldn't make cards for Demon Hunter and Death Knight, and figuring out how these classes could slot into each expansion seemed like one of the more interesting aspects to me.

I know I'll be in the minority here, but it seems like a somewhat absurd idea to create cards for an old expansion with new rules. Against the background of GvG, these cards will look incredibly strong in any case. And by standard standards they are terribly strong. The idea... is normal, the implementation is terrifying.

That's definitely my least favorite of the new Spare Parts. I was just short on ideas and went with two of the remaining keywords that I wanted to use, even if they didn't fit that well together. Still, I can imagine a couple scenarios where both those keywords might come in handy.
