The concept is cool, but maybe a bit too complex tbh. That being said, having a level of customizability for your Hero Power sounds fun and would be awesome to have in some form

I really like the customization. It lives up to the class fantasy of warrior being able to change their (play)style based off of what they use

The second hero power combination is my favorite. Nice ideas. Man you should work for blizzard. The game would be so much more fun

Finally warrior can do damage without weapons from deck ,card effects etc.

1 note, if you give your Grom with cleave rush or charge and trade into an eneny minion you will get +20 attack to swing with.

It's a lot of Attack for sure, but Grom would need to survive a turn before you could swing with it, which might be a bit difficult that late into the game. That said, I probably went a bit overboard with the bonus. A better number might have been +3 Attack.

Warforged keyword is quite nice, it has some problems with other classes but it's pretty unique. The Grom non Warforge text change is quite op tho

The issue with other classes is relatively easy to fix. He already mentioned that if you only have 1 stance (1 arms, 1 defense, or 1 fury) the card costs 1 less. So I say other classes are considered "stanceless" unless they get one of warriors stance changing cards, and as such the card should just cost 1 less for other classes to play. I suggest keeping it at a 1 mana discount even when "stanceless" because 2 just feels like it would be too much.

I have two solutions for this that I just forgot to mention in the video: 1) Warforged minions would be unable to be generated by other classes. If they somehow get one still (like a Priest copying from your hand) it would just have the effects of the opponent's Stance. 2) Warforged for non-Warrior classes are always 2x Protection since that's the base set of Stances you have. Let me know which you like better! As for Grom, yeah he probably shouldn't get that much extra Attack 😝

The one thing I want to know is how would the hero power and Warforged effects work with Genn or Baku?

Genn would just have his normal effect, but upgrading your Hero Power would give you an upgraded Hero Power. I'm just not really sure if there'd be an upgraded Hero Power for each Stance combination, or if you just get the same upgraded Hero Power no matter what Stance you're in. I think it'd depend on whether I used the more complicated designs for mixed Stances or not.

Maybe it can be all 3 stances combined : (2 mana) Battlelord Stance: Deal 2 damage to damaged character. Gain 2 armor. Equip a 2/1 Axe. Warforged would be : +1 attack, +1 health, rush ? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- or the Shaman route : (0 mana then swaps to 2 mana) Primal Stance: Choose a Rank 3 basic Stance: -Defensive : 4 Armor -Battle : 3/2 -Berserk : Deal 3 damage to damaged character. Warforged would be : + 2 health taunt , +2 attack cleave, charge ?

It is cool but what about upgrade hero power effects and what will be your stance after you change your hero power with hero card or one of the quests? I have an idea: if you upgrade your hero power or gain special to worrior new hero power you would add special hero powers to the pool and start discovering upgraded hero powers. It will requir giving additional hero powers warforged effects. Any ideas for them?

I had another commentor suggest that the upgraded Hero Power would be a combination of all the different Hero Powers in one, and I like that approach. But other than that; if you change your Hero Power your wouldn't also change your Stance. In those cases the game would just remember what Stance you had before you changed the Hero Power and your Warforged cards would be unchanged.

I think it'd depend on what versions of the mixed Stances Hero Powers I ended up using. If it was the first ones I showed, upgrading your Hero Power would probably just give you a stronger version of the Hero Power of your Stance; so decks with only 1 Stance would get the Hero Power for 2 Stances (but for 1 mana), and the rest just stronger versions. But if I went with the second designs for mixed Stances, the upgraded Hero Power would just be the +4 Armor one.

The concept is like really freaking cool, but stupidly complex. Like do we really need 9 Hero powers and effects for warforged and we are supposed to remember? AND THEY CHANGE MID GAME?! That's too much. Also, whenever you had Hero Powers, you should take into account that the concept of upgrading or discounting your Hero Power do exist. I would do: Warrior cards have a alligance to one of the stances (just like runes), the one you have the most of is considered "your stance" (ties would mean you have no stance). Warforged would just be a trigger of "if this card shares your stance, it gains a bonus effect". Then if you reaaaallly want to keep the hero powers (which are admitedly cool) they could just be a start of game/battlecry/spell effect. Like, upgrade your Hero Power based on the stance you are in. Also, you could have cards that have multiple stances in which case it could read "Warforged: Cleave if you are on Fury stance, Taunt if you are on Defensive stance" for example. Also, you could have cards with effects such as "choose a stance, you are considered to also be in that instance this turn". When making Hearthstone, having a cool idea is just the first step, you have to go over it like 5 times to see if you can simplify even further without losing the essence. At least if you want it to really feel "Hearthstony"

I think the main complexity of this comes from the Warforged keyword. Having different Hero Powers to choose from is really not that complicated, especially because they'll be visible all throughout the game, even for the opponent. If I was actually working for Blizzard and were to introduce this update to Hearthstone I would never include the Warforged keyword. It was just a cool idea I had, and the video would have been a little short without it. I don't think discounting these Hero Powers would be problematic since I tried to balance them according to normal Hero Powers and 1 mana Hero Powers do exist through DH. But the upgraded Hero Powers were definitely a thing I should have included; many people have requested them. If I were to do this video over I'd make a segment about the upgraded Hero Powers too, and maybe then I could've also removed the Warforged keyword entirely. Still, at the end of the day I don't work for Blizzard, and while I do try to make my videos feel "Hearthstony" they are mostly just an outlet for all my crazy ideas.
