I love the designs!! The videos are so interesting to watch. I'm worried the desert keyword would be way too toxic and uninteractive though. A lot of people already dislike how boards don't matter anymore, so putting a bunch of entombs on a stick would feel bad no matter the mana cost. My idea would be that desert sends them to the deck after their next attack, so that they can choose to hold, trade off, or push aggro for a bit of counterplay. Also, another 20 20 darkness is cool as a callback, but if it was released as a miniset in the same expansion, it might feel redundant. What if the pay off would be to recruit all the minions you've deserted? Just some ideas, I love what you came up with!!

Hey thanks for the comment! I completely agree with your take on Desert; I also think it might be problematic, but decided to show it for flavor's sake. The same applies to any references or callbacks in my videos. If an opportunity appears I'll jump on it. If this followed the actual Hearthstone release schedule it might be weird seeing a callback to something that only just came out a few months ago, but Kobolds came out 7 years ago; I don't think anyone would raise an eyebrow at those references. I like your fix for the card though!

I don’t think this mechanic works. It means that Hunter would have to play behind curve to get full class value because they need to have 2 left to hero power. If they’re not doing that, Focus is useless.

I can definitely see where you're coming from, but I look at the Focus mechanic as an addition to the Hunter game style, not the premise. It's impossible to know how this would play, but I don't think the Focus bar is consistent enough to warrant a Hero Power every turn, and you would only slot one in when you have the excess mana or need the extra damage push. And once you do use your Hero Power, that extra damage is the reward for losing tempo by not playing on curve.

2 notes: new heights shouldn't be overgrown if possible, since it's a warrior card. Also, cenarius is pretty weak, I'd buff him to 8 spells spells for 8/8s.

There’s an issue with Ent being a keyword: this is a copyrighted word by Wizard or the Coast if I remember well! (Since it bought Lord of the Rings to make RPGs)

Oh wow, I had no idea. I guess that's why the word is nowhere in Warcraft or Hearthstone. That would obviously need to get changed if this update was actually introduced then! Maybe something like Tree-folk? Guardian? Hmm... I'd have to think on that.

Cycle of Nature looks kinda overpowered (because it's not hard for druid to play many nature spells very early in the game: Innervate, Lightning bloom, Biology project, Nature studies and much more), but nevertheless these overhauls are crazy good! Keep up the good work :)

5 nature spells is easy mode for druids I think making the counter go to 10 and putting the thresholds on that at 4 and 10 would be better, plus it allows for more variation with the cyclical keyword

I really like the Ents concept. Mainly due to how the synergy atm between Treants, Ancients, and Giants seems to be extremely clunky with the transformation and buffs only affecting one group. This Ent concept could allow for a more easier simplification by having the transform effects just go up by one stage, and could make Goru the Mightree affect all of them. I do wonder how you would make the Druid Festivals spell to function with the mechanic tho? Maybe the Ent it’ll summon will either be the current tier for less turns or a higher tier for more turns.

Okay... -The multiple specs is just... pretty similar to the rest of your videos, I don't have any strong oppinions on these. You could totally make all classes have specs and different hero powers, and this would totally work, but would also made each class feel less unique if they all have specs -The cycle seems cool, but working just with ents makes it really niche -Overgrown seems REALLY cool, but it just feels like a straigh up nerf to the most annoying cards, not really exciting for druid players I think that combining the last two would be really interesting. What if you play overgrown cards and this is the way to increase your cycle counter?. The mana cost just applies when reaching the given levels and these instead of affecting specificically the ents, just serves for "cycling" (I think the keyword name is a bit weird here, in a card games, cycling is usually related to different stuff, maybe call it... "blooming" or something) card triggers (which could easily include the ents). You could also make the cycle counter actually cycle and once it reaches the max it just get back to 0, as representing the winter, rebirth and all that druidy stuff. The overgrown cards could include a lot of "cycling" effects, making them cheaper when they are at the start of the cycle and more expensive but significantly stronger as you move up, but also eventually forcing a reset on the counter, which a think would be really cool as gimmick for druid.

Hey, thanks for the detailed feedback! The first overhaul was my personal least favorite because as you say it is so similar to my other videos, but I felt it'd be a waste just to scrap the whole idea so that's why I included it still. Personally I'm more excited for the other ideas. Your suggestion to combine the two into a single overhaul sounds really cool, and if I revisit this overhaul that might be something I do!

I overall enjoy the creativity in your videos, have been watching them for some time now. I think the balancing is iffy sometimes. Introducing the focus mechanic looks decent, however, there is a singular problematic outlier, questline hunter. Where the free hero power would feed an endless loop of increasing damage. I think it would break this deck and an overhaul of the quest would be required. Survival hunter is a bit weird, if you play a cheap weapon and focus enabled cards, it could be a strong early game option with low maximum potential. As for the stables, fun and interesting, but in practice most pets would probably never see the light of day. Why put Misha in, which is a passive minion that only benefits you in the early game if you can take puffer instead

Hey thanks for the comment! Balancing is definitely the part I struggle with the most, but I did consider Questline Hunter when designing the Focus meter. Using your Hero Power will reset your Focus meter so only the first use will benefit from your Focus. Moreover, the Hero Power itself doesn't give Focus; I don't think I ever say this, but you can see it in one of the videos when the Focus meter goes to 0 after using the Hero Power.

an idea for Souls.. maybe change it to only work for Demons... any friendly demon that dies gives you a soul... you can spend X amount to power up your next Hero Power.. have it in tiers.... Tier 1 - what they were shows. mind Tap starts as a random card Tier 2 - Life Tap - Draw a card, Take 1 damage. Mind Tap - discard you lowest cost, Power Tap - destroy your lowest health minion. Tier 3 Life Tap - Draw a card, no damage. Mind Tap you choose the card to discard. Power Tap you choose the friendly minion to destroy. Tier 4 Life Tap Draw a card, restore 2 health (to Hero) Mind Tap; Discard 1 to draw 2. Power Tap - Destroy random friendly minion to draw 2 cards Tier 5: Power Tap Draw a, restore 5 health (to Hero). Mind Tap: Discard to draw 2 but get the discarded card at end of turn. Power Tap: Destroy a random enemy minion to draw 2 card You can choose how many souls you want to spend, how many you spend is the Tier of your next HP. Tier 1 - stays the same so basically wasting a soul. Spend 5, your next HP is from Tier 5 - But Tier 5 can only be used once per game. Any cards that upgrade your HP, just go to the Default one mentioned in this video.

Yeah, that's true, I guess the opponent would know that you played one of the three Secrets, but at least they wouldn't know from which class it came so it still gives you some secrecy.

1:38 10 mana to get 3/3 and 3 secrets? I don't think that this is a legendary effect, like there is already a 2/2 that cost 2 and discover a secret, this card cost 2 times more and makes paladin secret more useless. Maybe if it would've activate them instantly or have effect like each turn first secret would cost 0 like Kalesgos 😅.

I don’t like the Channeling scroll. Even if it’s random, I think that Druid already does too much ramp. Maybe a defence scroll which gives armour? Or maybe a casting scroll which discovers a Druid/nature spell?

Kind of ticked of with seeing shadow word: Horrify, because if desert works like I think it does then that card is just a straight up copy of psychic scream. which even is a card from kobolds and catacombs...

It's not straight up a copy of Psychic Scream. Psychic Scream shuffled all minions into your opponent's deck, including your minions; Shadow Word: Horrify will shuffle all minions into their owner's deck (so your minions will go to your deck). This might be better or worse than Psychic Scream depending on what deck you're playing. It also synergizes with the new legendary I made unlike Psychic Scream.

​@BlututhHS Yes, the effect is a little different, and thus has different interactions with certain cards, but you're suggesting adding K&C and this miniset to standard. Psychic Scream, Shadow Word: Horrify, and Repackage would all be legal at the same time. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's against Hearthstone's set design philosophy

@@seanweb9051 In hindsight I should've probably given that effect to a different class since Psychic Scream is in the same set. The effect just screamed Priest flavor considering those similar cards you mentioned, but I still think it's a necessary effect to print for SOME class if Uul'gyneth gets printed too. EDIT: Maybe Druid should've had the effect actually, since they were the first class to get this effect through Recycle, and this is just an AoE version of that.

I love your creativity and energy, but giving Druid even more ramp is absurd. That class needs a way to avoid snowballing out of control like that, and I offer a solution you can explore in one of your videos, should you try to rework druid entirely. I call it "Ramp Overload". Basically, there is a global effect for Mana Crystal ramp cards that cost X more for each mana you gained through these means. So if it's turn 3 and I play Splish Splash Whelp, my next Whelp will cost 4 mana, because I gained a mana crystal. So instead of having 5 mana next turn and being able to play another whelp alongside something else, I instead have to spend 4 mana and destroy my entire curve. Furthermore, since I have ramped 2 crystals already, my next ramp card will cost 2 more, so a card like wildgrowth will cost 4 mana, Doomkin will cost 8 mana, and New Heights will cost 5 mana. Should I play any other ramp card, not only my turn becomes worse, but so my chances of snowballing diminish. Furthermore, this way, they can make druid cards be better by themselves, so that they don't have to worry for each ramp card making them obnoxious when dropped much earlier than they have to be.

This seems like a bad idea because it's too difficult to track. If I play wild growth on 2, does that make the wild growth I play on turn 12 to draw a card cost extra? My suggestion is just to make ramp generally be more expensive, if you want to nerf it. Put wild growth back to 3 mana, put doomkin to 7, put splish splash whelp to 3. That way is just easier

@@seanweb9051 There can be a little symbol like with corpses, under mana, which indicates how much mana you've ramped. And yes, ANY ramp would cost more for the rest of the game. My suggestion is to also make all ramp significantly cheaper, like a 1 mana wildgrowth a 2 mana whelp again. All across the board, they should cost 1 less, but have their cost increase by one for every ramp you played this game.

I'm already starting to imagine what it'd look like with a meter beneath the Mana Crystal similar to the Corpse Counter, and then all the ramp cards could have a banner under their Mana Crystal to show they interact with this meter. I already have a lot of ideas for my Druid overhaul, but I would like to incorporate this idea and then make the video a two-parter if you don't mind. I will of course credit you with coming up with the idea.

I love the UI elements in these videos, they add a lot! Would the Gargon Companions from Huntsman Altimor (Nathria) be affected by the stable? On one hand, they have different names and art, and seem to reference WoW On the other hand, the difference is purely cosmetic

Yeah, I could see that card causing trouble in Wild, but Wild is already such a cesspool that it's impossible to balance cards for that game mode. Unless the card is a problem in Standard it's not really a problem to me.

@BlututhHS I think the moment they let any class go above 10 max mana is when the problem is a issue. Warrior now has access to 16 and druid has 26 mana if the ramp spell and Guff are used in the right sequence. Druid is just a problem

king gobbamak is really expensive for an effect that basically says "fill your hand with sh... scrap instead of drawing your deck". also you definitely won't be able to get all 10 of the spare parts at once what would be really cool (if not completely overpowered) is for the deathrattle to say "Get each Spare Part. Any that don't fit in your hand are cast on random friendly minions."

Hmmm... some of the Spare Parts might be bad for you though, like the one that switches Attack and Health. Maybe it could say "Any that don't fit are added when there's room" (but that might also mess with future draws).
