He trained himself to get rid of that weakness during the timeskip after the red ribbon army arc, and was shown to be unaffected by tailgrabs when fighting Krillin in the tournament.

I can't believe that I went this long without considering this. Both Gohan and Broly are bottomless wells of potential power, and given a chance, Gohan could probably reach Broly's level. The only issue now is that Gohan no longer seems to have that rage that allowed him to power up so easily before, meaning that he would have to find another way to push himself to that level.
