This is actually sort of dark if you think about it. Hylia really liked Link but knew she couldn't possibly have him. She did chain up all reincarnations of him and herself for the future so there would be a happiness she couldn't possess eventually. And then Demise just had to layer a curse upon and ruin the plan.

Guessing from all the comics made by primarily Linked Universe blogs GabaLeth has been dubbing, the short period with Time, Twilight Tears possibly being an experiment to see how viewers react to Links Meet, and the end of Wooden Plank leaving them without an easy long term continued comic, if I had to guess, they might dub Linked Universe next, although it might require more male actors, which is a possibility for why they haven't yet.
