I was researching this yesterday after reading this comment lol. I’m going this route and then going to do the growth regulator in the Spring.

That’s some awesome B-roll footage! I would add that ethofumesate is just one tool in the arsenal and multiple applications are extremely important. Even with that, it didn’t eliminate my problem, but it did reduce it.

I need to overseed some of my fescue come September. I have some big patches of clover that I would like to get rid of in the main yard. I don't mind keeping some clover for the pollinators but just not in the main part of the lawn. In the part of the lawn out front,I would like to get rid of the clover there, Could I get something to kill the clover now(July 30/1st part of August),then sow fescue there in September. I just don't want to do something to ruin or prevent the new seed from germinating.Grass seed is too expensive to waste.

Controlling POA is the reason I'm going with a spring overseeding. Heavy pre emergent in Fall. Then late pre emergent in Spring. For Cool Season grasses, it's much easier to control broad leaf than POA with Post Emergent selectives

Best of luck Ryan, thanks for watching sir

@ryan.coogler. my thoughts are the same as yours, gona try it n see what happens. Rather treat crabgrass than fight any poa.

Got my Poa constrictor ... That stuff is pricey... Press on in the good work sir 👍. Have a great day

It is, I agree. I bought mine last year to see if it was worth it. I think it is, but multiple apps are needed

Question, what about aerating and putting down Tenacity... seems like it would make sense because Tenacity does act as a preemergent for weeds but doesn't interfere with Grass seed growth. Just a thought, thanks Mr. Ferguson
@MrFergusonLawn Жыл бұрын
Yep, tenacity is popular to use as well. Also a double agent, but going into that would have been a long video! Only thing about Tenacity is that it will work, but only to truly suppress poa, as it’s labeled. Meaning it won’t eliminate it. It’s pre emergent qualities run out in 21 days I believe, so you can keep applying, but you’ll have a bleached lawn for all of Fall almost

@@MrFergusonLawn Learn from Mr. F mistakes last year! LOL

I agree, and I should've been more clear with my comment. I was speaking only on aerating and overseeding without using preemergent. Wasn't speaking on the poa, I'm sorry I confused the conversation. My mind was thinking faster than I was typing or vice-versa. Whichever of those applies 😊
