I remember wanting a comp on my 1911 in the late 80's but all I could afford was a bushing comp. The bushing comp replaced your barrel bushing, so it cycled with the slide just like this. I couldn't tell any difference recoil-wise, but it looked like one of those cool Wilson Combat comp guns you'd see in the gun mags.

@@matthewgonzalez1346I have an Icarus frame 320 and a txg frame and I would also choose the txg frame. I don’t know what it is, I guess it doesn’t beat your hands up it takes a lot of the recoil out of your hand. That’s my opinion.

I have put nearly 1000 rounds through mine and it is phenomenal! I too own a few other SIGs, but the very first time I held one of these, the weight and grip just made it all make sense! I agree with every one of your points. If there was ever a negative, why not suppressor height sights? I understand this pistol can't be suppressed, but optic wise, why not, SIG?!

@@MonstaFreak13nothing to do with the grip. The spectre comp is finicky with what ammo it with cycle. And that’s specifically due to the “comp” The legion is not a true comp, but will eat anything you throw at it without FTF or FTE like the spectre comp. Just my real world experience

Maybe i havent ran enough ammo brands and types through it or something, but i have run 90 +p, 115, 124, 147, and a box of some 150gr and i havent had any fte/ftf in the roughly 3000 rounds i have on it. I have some 165gr but i see no point in shooting anything higher than 124 in a comped gun. I still want the axg legion tho

I have the AXG Classic and love it. If you want the combat I say go for it especially if you want to add a comp or suppressor. I think the grip on the axg frame is phenomenal and if you don't like grip panels just change them.

I like the p226 Legion at that 1200/1300 price vs the 1300-1400. And if you want the flat face SAO trigger you have that option as well.

@@manofthepeople2165 I agree. I have 2 M17s I've played around with AXG grips etc etc. I would argue that the P226 is better. The modularity is cool. But the P226 is the better pistol. Imo. You could argue weight for CC.... but I'm not taking the P320 for CC either way.

@@dutch0770 yeah if you are cool with training enough on both the DA and SA trigger pulls, P226 is a very good gun. Weight and training are the reasons most modern militaries moved away from steel framed DA/SA guns to polymer striker fired ones.

What if I Told You All Sigs Are Not THE SAME? True. However all SIG ergonomics are pretty much alike. I know when I have a SIG in my hand just by its ergos. SIG and Taurus have some of the best ergonomics on the market. Yes SIG ergos can get even better than they are now. Haha.

Seems like a big miss for Sig to not give you the gun with its new red dot that doesn’t require suppressor height sights, and is better than the RMR and the Delta Point Pro IMO. Just got this gun and LOVE it.

It was back ordered. And no new dot it better than a tried and proven dot. The mounting. Is unique and it’s got a side battery. But with out true long term use and testing making a statement that it’s better is simply false. So until I get it. I will still stand by the rmr as the best rds out.

Recoil control. The beaver tail rests on top of your hand when gripping it so when the gun recoils its braced against it. More specifically it's controlling muzzle flip while the gun recoils

@@javery50 it's got two purposes if you have a hammer fired gun. The first is to eliminate hammer bite. But the second does help with recoil. From my experience as someone who EDCs an M18. But please explain how having extra contact area on the top of the hand has the opposite effect of recoil control/muzzle flip control

@@JJsGA because recoil is controlled primarily by the support hand. If you compare guns of the same weight and general size the ones with beaver tails do not recoil less or have better recoil control. I could give examples but they would be very cliché. It’s also a wash when you think about it. Either the gun is hammer fired and has a beaver tail or its striker fired and some of the firing group extends beyond the rear of the grip which essentially creates a beaver tail. My original point was the exaggerated beaver tails are not truly functional. Glock without versus sig with. Glock recoils less and is lighter for the same size gun.

@@javery50 yes recoil control is primarily done with the support hand. However the guns design can lend itself to better or worse recoil control. Sigs for example have a high bore axis which creates more muzzle flip. The beaver tail combats that if your properly holding the gun. The fact you think it creates MORE recoil tells me you aren't choked up on the grip enough to utilize the beaver tail. I had my dad shoot my M18. My dad did 21 years Active Duty in the infantry and trained with the 1911. When he shot my gun he wasn't choked up against the beaver tail and the gun had more muzzle flip. I handed him a fresh mag and told him to choke up on the grip. Guess what. Gun shot significantly flatter. You aren't holding it right bud. You can't tell me it creates more recoil. I carry the thing daily and have a couple thousand thru it. You can have your opinion but your opinion isn't fact. Just because you don't understand it doesn't make it useless.
