Here's my submission for the Who Wants to Journey 2021 Tag Challenge! What do you think about my team and ideas?

Your ideas are all great! I love the Grimsley approach, it's basically what I wanted for Best Wsiehs to do with Stephan, being an apprentice of Marshal after the Clubsplosion tournament and having a connection with an Elite 4 Member is something that has precedents before Unova - Misty fangirling over Lorelei, Brawly being Bruno's pupil, Clair being Lance's cousin, Janine being Koga's daughter, Buck being Flint's brother, etc. The Dark Type theme allowing you to travel solo makes sense in the narrative and Rosa being a rival is a good idea considering that her manga counterpart - Whitley (shoud've been named Ivory) is a former Team Plasma grunt, to which the involvement of the Shadow Triad towards you feels organic, like if they see you as an annoyance or a disrespect for the Type itself. I love the nuances of your Journey, amazing work Mark!

The whole Grimsley apprentice thing brings back a lot of memories. I remember playing White for the first time, and after I beat it, I imagined myself training with Grimsley to be an E4 member, since my most powerful Pokemon in that playthrough was my Krookodile, and that Pokemon singlehandedly made me love the dark type. Grimsley is also my favorite dark-type specialist.

This is hopefully the final comment about my ideas since in that last one my ideas were scattered: I would start out in Littleroot Town and travel through the Hoenn region to challenge the Pokemon League, but my goal is always challenging the Battle Frontier, and challenging the League is only for Scott to notice me. My team would be Blaziken, Breloom, Swellow, Aggron, Altaria, Flygon, Milotic, Absol, and Salamence in capture order. Once I beat the Hoenn Battle Frontier, I would go to Sinnoh to do the same. My companions would be Ash's AG companions. I chose May because I like May, she's from Hoenn, and contests are also in Sinnoh so she could also be my traveling companion there, I chose Brock because he's Brock, and I chose Max because I'm evil. My rival would be Paul because Paul said he would challenge Brandon at the end of DP. Here's more info about my Pokemon's backstories, personalities, captures, and evolutions: Blaziken: Blaziken has no real backstory other than growing up in Birch's lab. Blaziken always tries his best to help me do whatever I want to do, and cares a lot about my other Pokemon. I would get Blaziken as a Torchic from Professor Birch (In case you're wondering, May would get Treecko instead). Torchic would evolve into Combusken when I'm trying to catch Taillow. Combusken would evolve into Blaziken at the end of my battle with Norman. Breloom: Shroomish grew up in Petalburg Woods with many siblings, and they all evolved before him. As a result, Shroomish is very grouchy and is always desperate to battle so he can evolve. When he evolves, he becomes very happy and remains positive for the rest of the series, but he will get serious whenever it's time to battle, although he isn't as desperate. I would catch Breloom as a Shroomish in Petalburg Woods. In the games, there is a researcher that asks if you have a Shroomish, so I thought that after I hear about Shroomish, I would decide to catch one. After catching it, I return to the researcher to give him the Shroomish, but then Team Aqua would attack, and I'd beat the Grunt with Shroomish, and the researcher would tell me that I should keep Shroomish after. Shroomish would evolve into Breloom during my battle with Brawly. Swellow: Taillow's parents lost the egg that contained Taillow shortly before she hatched. Since she grew up alone, she gained a lot of resources by stealing from others. She doesn't like interact with other Pokemon much, even after I caught her. I would catch Swellow as a Taillow on Route 116. Taillow would bother us at first and steal from us, resulting in a battle where Torchic evolves and I catch Taillow, resulting in Torchic being at a type disadvantage, so I decide to catch it. Taillow would evolve into Swellow during my battle with Tate and Liza. Aggron: Aron grew up in Granite Cave with all of the other Pokemon. The Pokemon in Granite Cave are all very close to each other and as a result, Aron is a very friendly Pokemon and shows me and my friends around Granite Cave when I first met him. Aron didn't win in any battles at first because he always tried to befriend the Pokemon instead of fighting, but he was willing to fight when he evolved into Lairon. I would catch Aggron in Granite Cave as an Aron because I was lost. Aron would evolve into Lairon in Fiery Path. It would evolve into Aggron in Meteor Falls. Altaria: Altaria: Swablu grew up alone like Taillow, but unlike Taillow, Swablu was a very weak and timid Pokemon and would always run away whenever another Pokemon appeared. She joined me because she wanted to get stronger. Even after evolving into Altaria, she was still very scared of battling other Pokemon. She would overcome this fear during my battle with Winona and become much more confidant in battle. I would catch Altaria on Route 114 as a Swablu because I wanted a Dragon type. Swablu would evolve into Altaria when I'm trying to catch Trapinch. Flygon: Flygon: Unlike Swablu, Trapinch was the strongest Pokemon in the desert and all of the other Pokemon fear him. When I catch him, Vibrava tries to be the strongest of all of my Pokemon and is very competitive, resulting in him not getting along well with the others, especially Altaria. I would first encounter Flygon as a Trapinch in the Route 111 Desert. Trapinch would evolve into Vibrava at the same time that Swablu evolves into Altaria, and I would catch it shortly after. Vibrava would evolve into Flygon at some point in the Team Magma/Team Aqua arc. Milotic: The lake in Route 119 used to be full of Feebas until Team Aqua showed up and caught all of them, except for one. Feebas stays hidden from humans as a result. But when I catch Feebas and she finds out that I'm trying to stop Team Aqua as well, she wants my help to save the other Feebas, and we do by the end of the Team Magma/Team Aqua arc. After that, Milotic is very grateful for my help and decides to continue traveling with me. I would catch Milotic as a Feebas in Route 119. We would hear about Feebas from the fishers in the area, who call Feebas a very rare Pokemon. I would fish up the Feebas and catch Feebas immediately after. I would enter a contest with Feebas in Lilycove City where Feebas would evolve into Milotic. Absol: When Absol was very young, she lived in a place where nothing went wrong, and since she knew that other Pokemon weren't so lucky, she ran away to protect them. Now, Absol is very protective of the people and Pokemon she is around because of her ability to sense disasters, and she saved us from disasters many times. I would catch Absol in Route 120 because I was worried about what Team Magma and Team Aqua were doing. Salamence: Salamence: Salamence knew that Team Magma and Team Aqua were bad news the day he first saw them, so he decided that he would try to bring them down. Salamence doesn't like getting help until the Team Magma/Team Aqua arc, where he realized that he needed our help to stop them. Once they were taken care of, Salamence decides to stay with me because he has nothing else to do. Salamence would appear throughout the series whenever Team Aqua or Team Magma show up and chase them away. During the Team Magma/Team Aqua arc, Salamence would want to join me and I would catch Salamence. This was a lot of work to make, but very fun.

Nice video! I always love dark type Pokemon Gym Leaders/Elite 4 Members/(non-existent) Champions, because they're usually very underutilized, but the fans always seem to enjoy them, because they have Interesting personalities and designs. However, I will say, if you were to be in Pokemon Journeys with this team (specifically in the Pokemon World Championships), you'd be toast. Just think about it, fighting is like... The most "important" type in Journeys. Ash's Ace is Lucario, he also has a super powerful Sirfetched, Bea is a fighting type master, Rinto exists, Goh's Cinderace had double kick, the list goes on! So sorry to say buddy, but you'd better just stay in Unova as an elite 4 member, because you will be executed in the PWC!!! 😛

I would hail from Kalos, but start in Sinnoh for contests and eventually continue for gym battles. Greninja, Talonflame, Roserade, Diggersby, Tyrantrum, Galvantula, Froslass, Gardevoir, and Lucario. I'd focus on having coverage for everything (I don't reuse types) and they'd be able to be special contest type moves and use good physical attacks for gym battles.

If you had a starter it should’ve been Incineroar (Fire/Dark) or Venusaur (Grass/Poison), Just feel like if you had Greninja (Water/Dark) it wouldn’t cooperate with your team well.

My team would be Torracat, Skitty, Mega Absol/Purugly, Zangoose/Persian, Delibird/Luxio, and Megearna/Meowstic with Vaporeon, Tropius, and Diggersby to switch in for utility. Would probably live in Johto near the ice path or moo moo milk farm since Crystal is the only Pokemon game I ever really played and finished. Love bringing my 'mon to Lake of Outrage for picnics. Would hopefully be friends and travel with Alan, Marin, or Kiawe. My rivals would maybe be Harley, Nando, and N. Would go on Pokemon journey just for fun and focus on contests, where I might do fairly well. Probably wouldn't be good enough at battles to win enough badges or a league. Also would hate seeing my Pokemon hurt. Would otherwise try to be an assistant for Nurse Joy and/or have small farm.

Nice Video Elite Trainer Mark! And I want to start my own journey if I was in the Pokémon anime! In fact I always even imagine of making my own Pokémon anime series based on my 1st Pokémon Main series game Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! 💛⚡ and Eevee! 💖🌸! It would be about me starting my Pokémon Journey with my Partner Pikachu in my home region Kanto! It would be called Pokémon Let's Go: the series and it'll focus on me becoming a Pokémon Trainer and learning a lot about Ash Ketchum, the Legendary Trainer of Kanto who started his Journey with his Partner Pikachu the same way as me and my Pikachu did! Also, I would have friends name Trace and Elaine who partners are Jolteon (Trace's) and Eevee (Elaine's) and meet them every time as we hang together sometime and go on a lot of adventures together! They're also my rivals as they're on the same goal as me! My Kanto Team consist of Pikachu (my Starter), Charizard, Greninja, Alolan Sandslash, Melmetal and Rocky (Rockruff)! At the start of my Journey, I went to meet Professor Oak at his Lab to get my first Pokémon along with my friend Trace. However, once Trace and I get to Oak's Lab and meet him, we encounter a Pikachu, who actually came out nowhere and Pikachu took a interest in me as lock eyes with each other, and we started forming a bond. After seeing this, Professor Oak suggest that I should catch the Pikachu and make him my 1st Pokémon since he would make a good partner for me on my journey, which I ponder by this, but Pikachu seem really insisted that he want to come with me on my Journey and I agreed. So I decided to catch Pikachu, thus making him my very 1st Pokémon as well my #1 Partner and Best Friend. After that, I would journey through my home region Kanto as I catch and train other Pokémon with my Partner Pikachu and battle many trainers along the way! I also will battle Gym Leaders & compete in the Pokémon League in Kanto! It would be the start of my Pokémon Journey! During my journeys in Kanto I gained the power of Mega Evolution and also learning that my Partner Pikachu have special moves and Secret Techniques (which are the same one from Let's Go) that no other Pikachu or Pokémon can learn, which me and Pikachu work to master these special powers and become stronger together! I also even learn a lot about Ash Ketchum and admire him through my Journey as I heard about his glory days how he and his Partner Pikachu bonded through their journey as me and Pikachu want to be just like them! Also in the end of my Pokémon Let's Go series, I win the Pokémon League and become the Kanto Pokémon Champion and finally meet Ash Ketchum, where he just return home after his Journey from Alola and realize that he's also one of the Pokémon Champions like myself, since he's become the 1st Alola Pokémon Champion after wining the region's first League! Once meeting Ash, me and Pikachu get to hangout with him and his Pikachu a little bit while he tell us on how he and Pikachu have become who they are today during their Journey through many regions. Finally, me and my partner Pikachu battle him and his Pikachu, but end up losing to them due to Ash being a way experience Pokémon Champion who been on his Journey way more than I have and is a pro at battling. After that after talking Ash of about his and told to find something what have for destiny, I decided to continue my Journey in Galar! Also, In my next Pokémon anime Pokémon series Pokémon series Pokémon Sword and Shield, which will continue my Journey through the Galar while I'm traveling together with my Partner Pikachu and 4 traveling companions who are from each Regions and travel together with them in Galar! The 4 companions I travel together in Galar with are from different regions except one who lives in Galar! My companions name would be Amy (A Trainer from Kalos), Spencer (A Trainer from Sinnoh, who is also my friendly rival), Guerin (A trainer from Unova), and Zoey (A Trainer in Galar)! They also have their own Pokémon Partners that they started out with and are best friends with my Partner Pikachu same way me and my Friends are! Amy's Partner is a Sylveon, Spencer's Partner is a Infernape, Guerin's Partner is a Oshawott and Zoey's Partner is a Grookey! My friends and I would explore Galar together and meet all new kinds of Pokémon introduce in the region while learning and Master the powers of Dynamax together! Also, me and one of my traveling companions Spencer would also compete in the Galar Pokémon League and plan on beating Leon and became the new Galar Pokemon Champion and my rivals would be Hop, Marnie and Bede as well as three other rivals that came from Alola who their Partners are the Alola Starters and they want to compete in the Galar League to become Pokémon Champions just like Ash Ketchum after watching him compete and win in the 1st Alola Pokémon League and became their region's 1st Alola Champion who they admire Ash so much just like me, which cause my rivalry with them! My friends and I also get meet some of Ash's old companions and rivals in Galar, as well as meeting Ash again along with his new friend Goh, which me and my friends will see them few times during their visit in Galar as Research Fellows for Cerise Laboratory! My Galar Team consist of Pikachu (my Starter), Rocky (One of my Pokémon from my Kanto team who secretly follow me to Galar; now Evolved into a Midday form Lycanroc), Raboot, Corviknight (shiny), Urshifu and Zeraora (shiny)! Finally, my main dream is to become a "Pokémon Hero", protecting many people and Pokémon in the world from many evil forces while also becoming just like our Legendary Trainer of Kanto and Alola Pokémon Champion Ash Ketchum and become the Very Best Like No Ever Was, and I will do it together with my Partner Pikachu and my other Pokémon friends! I would be a galarian that moved to Kalos with my mom. My first pokemon that i have had my whole life is a galarian meowth(inspired by my own forestcat). I go to visit sycamore to Get my starter pokemon which is a very special Froakie. I will work for sycamore as his researcher and assistant. When i go on my first mission into the forest i find a Fletchling that later evolves into talonflame which i befriend and catch. As i go on my adventure i catch and befriend pokemon as shiny meowstic, Mega Garchomp and Aegislash or Eevee. Sawyer and Shawna would be my companions. trevor or Tierno could be my companions too. They could maby be my rivals but i dont battle that often. I do enter the world coronation series just for fun.

My team in journeys: Goodra (as a goomy) Runerigous Gallade Bisharp *Shiny* Raichu Inteleon Cleffa (not used in battle Backstory: I grew up in galar, met Jayden (my friend) in alola, I dont have a rival, I would look like the blonde look in swsh, with glasses, and Navy clothes, There would be goomy on my shoulder most of the time, (like axew) and a cleffa I would catch and keep in my team as an companion, I can sense aura too, I meet him while in the wild area while theres a tour of galar, ash tries to battle me but he fails, pikachu being struck by runerigous too harshly, I decide to go back to kanto with him, and and I encounter team rocket while with goh, cleffa and ash, and we blast them of again by using liquidation from inteleon, I guide them both to the crown tundra, where peonia and peony make their debut,

Martin wants to journey: For me cause of my country i had to made up a region: the Nayder-region Aka. The Benelux of pokéworld. I was not born there but adopted to from a latin americanesc region. starter: a made up one Nadder, since I love snakes , so it be a small viper Naming: dutch Adder + the n from latin nadare (to swim) Size: 15 cm long Type: water/grass Moves: venom tag , Story how I met it: I encountered it age 10 in Koatwikerhide (a wild area) I asked mom to go surch for cool snake critters with my brother cause I readd about them living near water bodies. Mom was like: " you never gonna find one, cause they are rare and only pokémon trainers get them while starting there journey ,so What the heck?!". We went, and it was and was not my lucky day : I found one and it being a snake pokémon I was over entousiastic so run and I tried grabbing it ,while it was curled up sunbathing near a small pond. It tried to get away, but I got it's tail, so being denied fleeying it's head came back from the grass and it bit me! shocked and scared but trying to be casual ,I walked back to mam , she notices something was wrong, and upon questioning me I lied that I disturbed a weedle and it stung me in the hand. It would be succesfull if not my brothers voice sounded through the Woods still holding his boot on the snake saying: " a Nadder tagged Martin! " We walked back to check what he got, and since my mom brought with her a pokemon she sends out a Nayder-region meowth to battle it, the Nadder being a baby only knows venom tag (short range but potently venomous attack) so after the Nadder failed to penn my brothers boot ,he lifted his foot so meowth could engage the critter. Fury swipes quickly did the job and while at first it was to avenge me , but I brang up to catch it to show nurse joy what bit me, for anti-venom. Being it an good idea mom threw the pokéball and caught it! Being that snake bites do not occur much in my region ,after showing Nadder to the nurses at the hospital , they do not know what to do with the bite, while looking at a hand resembling a red water filled glove. It hurted a lot. The nurses then prescribe anti-biotics ant tetanoid injection, they also bandage my arm. We informed uncle Maurice who works in a Africa equivalent regio to ask what to do. Since it was to long ago , anti-venom was not chosen. Instead we wait what to happen next, being his advice. While I was in much pain at home again the following weeks, Nadder begin sorta to feel sorry for me and curled up closer and closer to me evry night eventuelly I found it curled up on my chest. After my arm turned red, then a bit blue ,and later yellowish recovery sets in.Since then Nadder became my first and starter! And we went on much adventure abroad since. Further while aging in story begin 20s (real life 29) I traveled a lot during hollydays with my fammily and Nadder , and while not being a pokemon trainer, I still love to search for snake,tortoise, lizard and bug o form catches abroad. Only pokémon staying in my team are mentioned. In Kalos I caught a heliolisk In Galar I caught Falinks and a Sizzlipede, a remarcable note here is : I met Goh befriended him and traded sizlipede for a snom he caught! Also I caught a Woolo, I attempted to find a Nickit but one nicked my bag with food and pokéballs away never found it again... I also visited the Castilleon region (south of Kalos) Here I caught a Gecito (small wall gecko), and a scyter Other catches made in Unova, Vitalia,and Twishanti-region? (visiting uncle Maurice) where sent to the box In roulette: Ekkans, Twishantian Arbok, latinesc region tortoise pokemon Tortita? (birthday gift obtained from a exotic breeder) Big Goal: to find my real parrents one day in my birth region let's call it Colombuela for now... Secondary goal: to visit the 4 Japan regions ( never bin to Japan in real life ) Rival: Goh allthough I befriended him he is sorta my catching rival? Companions: my parrents, and my adopted brother.
