Hey guys The Fire Brothers and in today's video I'm bringing you a video talking about what if Ironhide never died in Transformers Dark Of The Moon! Now I wanted to do more what if videos for a while now but I really wasn't sure where to start, but then after watching a few Transformers DOTM clips it occurred to me to make this video talking about Ironhide and what would have happened had he survived. I did a video like this for Cliffjumper in the past and it was decently well received so I'm back at it again to see if there is an interest for me doing these types of videos. instead of Ironhide, Skids & Mudflap take the hits for Ironhide allowing to survive, then in the Chicago battle(s), Sam & Lennox give Ironhide a rematch against Starscream, but instead of Sam using the boomstick from Wheeljack, Ironhide will use both of his Heavy Iron weapons to take down & finish off Starscream, then, in the execution scene, Ironhide saves Wheeljack from death by ramming into Barricade in his alt mode, transforms, then uses his Heavy Iron w/ the armor piercing rounds to blast Soundwave, which kills him on the spot (even tho Soundwaves sonic cannons could have done damage to Ironhide had he used them a bit more) & uses his other heavy iron w/ the machine gun rounds to scare off the Decepticon troops holding down Ratchet, Sideswipe & Mirage who thanks him for the save, then he gets a small fight with Shockwave, uses both his Heavy Iron weapons to damage or kill him (it's up to preference), then when Prime comes in after taking down the other Con soldiers, Ironhide backs away to let his leader shoot down the pillars using Shockwaves cannon, fight Sentinel, & instead of Prime losing his arm, Ironhide would jump in & save Prime, hitting Sentinel at all sides, but gets his (left) hand sliced off by his double bladed sword, then Megatron comes in, & Ironhide watches as Megs bites the axe, & bc he killed the Twins, Ironhide grabs Sentinels cosmic rust cannon, & with two shots (one to his back & one to his chest), Sentinels insides start to crumble as Optimus turns away as his former mentor/teacher rusts away (with his head & lower legs still intact), & as for AOE, Ironhide takes the place of Sideswipe, Ratchet, Mirage & Leadfoot after taking much damage by Lockdown & Cemetery Wind (this way we can see more of those characters before they bite the dust later in the movie or in TLK) (sorry for the long comment)

13:05 With what you were getting on with originally Sideswipe surviving the rust cannon and an Autobot death being needed, I thought Sideswipe was going to die, which I'd argue would be a cooler choice. Not because I hate Sideswipe, no, not at all, it's because in the comics and other bits of backstory, Ironhide's suppose to be Sideswipe's mentor and kind of a boomer-and-zoomer buddy relationship. So if Sideswipe was dying, that could lead to some emotional character development for Ironhide. It can go something like this; (Sideswipe gets blasted by Sentinel and and is launched towards and through a building. Ironhide stops and watches in shock.) Ironhide: SIDESWIPE!!! (Ironhide runs over to Sideswipe to help him. Ironhide grabs his hand.) Ironhide: Don't worry kid, I got you- (Ironhide tries to pull Sideswipe up, but Sideswipe's arm just comes off due to the rusting. Ironhide looks at it in panic, then back to Sideswipe.) Ironhide: It's ok. Don't panic. You're going to be ok. YOU'RE GONNA MAKE IT THROUGH THIS-! Sideswipe: Ironhide... (Ironhide stops and looks at Sideswipe.) Sideswipe: I...I'm not gonna make it...Am I? Ironhide: Don't give up, kid. I PROMISE YOU'LL BE FINE! I PROMISE! *YOU'RE GONNA BE-!* Sideswipe: The Dreads... Ironhide: ...What? (Sideswipe looks to Ironhide) Sideswipe: While you fought Starscream...And Bee took Barricade...Me and Dino...Killed the Dreads...All by ourselves...All three of them... Ironhide: What does this have to do with anything?! You-! Sideswipe: Are rusting away...I know...I just brought it up...Because it's proof you raised me well... Ironhide: W-wha...? Ironhide: *...AND IT'S TIME FOR US AUTOBOTS TO BE ITS END!!!* What happens next is that Ironhide basically goes full-on rage mode and destroys a massive chunk of the remaining Decepticons on his way to Sentinel. He even joins in on the fight between Optimus and Sentinel. The thing is that it's IRONHIDE who loses their arm instead of Optimus, who's incapacitated in some other way. Then Megatron joins in and saves them, Sentinel's heavily injured, Optimus and Megatron fight to the death with Optimus winning, Optimus executes Sentinel, blah blah blah. The last difference is that Ironhide's last line is that he looks up to the sky with a smile and says, *"Rest well...Sideswipe."*

Honestly my version of Bayformers would've kept all the ogs alive including Jazz kept Sideswipe introduced Sunstreaker kept the new 3 from Age of Extinction and introduced all the dinobots there were concepts for then have them all survive TLK and have a bigger final battle and kept some classic Deceptions alive like Soundwave Shockwave etc

I can Imagine an Alternate Timeline... 2007 Movie: Jazz survives and the Autobot lineup isn't just Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ironhide, Ratchet and Jazz but Prowl, Cliffjumper and Wheeljack (G1). Decepticons besides Megatron, Starscream, Barricade, Blackout, Frenzy Brawl and Bonecrusher: Lazerbeak, Rumble and Soundwave ROTF: The Second Wave of Autobots composes of Arcee, Chromia and Elita 1, Skids (Who is instead a Elderly Autobot instead of a Racist Autobot),Sideswipe and Sunstreaker, Jolt and Brawn. Grindor senses the Autobots coming during that battle in the forest as Ironhide and Jolt take him out. Arcee, Chromia and Elita-1 combine into one in Egypt so that way they would avoid dying. Jetfire wouldn't die so he and Optimus would combine into Wingblade Prime to defeat Megatronus Prime/Fallen and Devastator. DOTM: Third Wave of Autobots include: Mirage, Brains, Wreckers (Leadfoot, Roadbuster, Topspin, Steeljaw, The Aerialbolts (composing of Silverbolt, Breakaway, Air Raid, Fireflight and Skydive) I wouldn't kill off Ironhide instead Skids get into the way of Ironhide taking the shots. Ironhide would rematch with Starscream but with the Heavy Iron Weapons and stopping the Excution of Wheeljack. Drift is in this film among the Decepticons but redeems himself and betraying the Decepticons (Starts off as Deadlock). Shockwave is the Main Villain. Sentinel Prime (Renamed Zeta Prime) is the Secondary Antagonist. AOE: Everything's different the autobots have been Hunted down: Ironhide amongst the Autobot Causalities with Ratchet, Leadfoot, Cliffjumper, Jetfire, Jazz, Arcee, Chromia and Elita-1, Wheeljack, and Sideswipe. With the Remaining Autobots being: Optimus, Bumblebee, Drift, Hound, Trailbreaker Crosshairs, Aerialbots, Mirage with the Dinobots (Grimlock, Slag, Sludge, Snarl and Swoop) with the Battle set in Hong Kong with Optimus avenging his Autobot brothers and friends by killing Lockdown. Stinger is instead Widowmaker. TLK: Nemesis Prime is instead a Clone of Optimus Prime not Optimus. Quintessions are in place of Quintessa. Ultra Magnus was once a Bodyguard of Sentinel Prime and is leader of the Elite Guard (composing of him being the Leader, Springer, Warpath (Who i swapped names with Bulldog), Blurr, Kup and Hot Rod) the Submarine Autobot Transforms (Don't know what name she would be). Althought Ironhide’s death was upsetting and for big fans of him they got really upset, it’s true what you said, it actually makes sense, Optimus wasn’t there so obviously Sentinal couldn’t go straight for him, but killing Ironhide is like actually a reasonable decision by Michael Bay. Ironhide has powerful guns and armor, and is a very talented soldier. Never really had a problem with his death at all. If he was better developed then his death would have at least been more meaningful.

Although the final battle with optimus and sentinel was awesome I wish ironhide could have been in it maybe helping optimus when the decepticon ships were shooting at optimus , and he would shoot down a few of them land some good shots of sentinel and maybe help prime avoid losing an arm by yelling prime look out so optimus could move just in time , to shove his sword into sentinels chest and bringing him to his knees , and as normal megatron comes over but sees sentinel weak and ironhide and prime towering over him and calls a truce like he tried to do before optimus went full mortal kombat on him but megatron calls truce and walks off telling all decepticons to retreat and then optimus pulls out his sword from sentinels chest and assuming ratchet didn't die in this version he agrees to heal sentinel as long as he never betrays the autobots again , sentinel agrees and becomes second in command I'd keep going but don't wanna bore you all

My theory if ironhide could have been alive:ironhide after ROFT gets his cannons repaired by ratchet and que adds more strengh to the cannons making so that when ironhide will do the thing he shots in the wall he will do a larger and more damaging thing and the cannonc when they shot they will throw the enemy much away like megatron fusion cannon in the 2007 movie and now i have to change a scene: Dino will be in robot mode with bumblebee then sentinel takes his blaster and tries to shoot ironhide but dino uses the ropes that he used to kill dreadbot and the ropes takes away the cannon then ironhide shoots sentinel and sentinel retreats but dino uses sentinel's rust cannon and shoots sentinel in vehicle form causing sentinel get so much damage but starscream gets in the zone and saves sentinel by taking the autobots then sentinel sucessfully escape and starscream gets killed by mirage using the rust cannon then the movie continues normally until the execution where ironhide prevents that and they kill the decepticon a bit easier then prime goes in rage and fights sentinel and ironhide joins the fight with the other autobots and sentinel uses his second rust cannon (cuz in this timeline it has 2) and shoots dino but ironhide makes him get shot in the chest instead and says to dino:"i owe you something" the bullet that shooted ironhide damaged him a bit but he still survives it sideswipe goes on rage because his friend got hurted and fights sentinel with prime resulting him losing one of his legs then prime finishes sentinel without megatron help and then it all go normal. AOE ironhide hangs with ratchet then when lockdown shoots ratchet ironhide shooted his cannon on the floor destroying majority of the cemetary wind vehicles and slowing lockdown down and helps ratchet and they escape then in the reunion there is sideswipe,dino and wheeljack because even if they were hunted by lockdown or cemetary wind ironhide would end up helping and saving them. Then when lockdown captures optimus ironhide fights lockdown but loses then the movie continues normally and on the final battle he helps optimus fighting lockdown and lockdown will not be able to use the judgement sword in optimus because ironhide is fighting him while optimus shooted the guy that was close to kill cade then optimus fights lockdown and they kill him TLK The autobots now regroups and they get some other group member wich are:jolt,chromia,topspin,hotrod,the twins and roadbuster Now the movie changes only because there are more autobots to help and i included those bots because we never see them die and i don't care about the comics so these are here. And a new decepticon came wich is called thundercracker and he looks like his studio series toy. The movie continues normally but in the nemesis prime battle ironhide helps then after the nemesis battle the movie continues normally just with more autobots then in the final battle they get to kill all decepticon except barricade this is how:when megatron tries to shoot bee ironhide does coverfire then prime uses his sword to kill megatron succesfully the jolt uses his eletric things and dissasemble quintessa using her as armor or idk then the movie and when they return to cybertron barricade joins the autobot changing his name into prowl and this is what i think oh and also the twins dies at the final battle by our boi nitro zeus because he didn't do anything in the final battle he just stayed there with the popcorns watching who will win lol

I know what you said about people hating DOTM because of Ironhide's death, but I don't hate that he died, I hate how he died. Ironhide should have died at AOE while fighting Lockdown to save Ratchet, like a true warrior would to his comrades. The way Sentinal killed him really pissed and I was so sad that he didn't get to be in the most awesome battle in the Transformers movies. If Ironhide survived, he would've had a lot of fun fighting with the autobots, killing deceptions, and saving people's live. Also, yes I'm gonna let Ironhide's death restrain me from watching DOTM since that is a major flaw I have with the movie.

I do think that if ironhide survived dark of the moon. He could've made it to the last knight. He's so skilled that he could've survived long enough to find refuge in the mountain lalley. And definitely survive the battle in hong kong
