@@frank_calvertYeah, like sins being sins from Genesis to Revelation (blasphemy, thieving, adultery, envy, murder, rape, idolatry, prostitution, hate…and so on…). Key themes being ran throughout, from: the New Heaven & New Earth to the Millennial Reign to the Messiah to the Jews rejection of said Messiah to the created world being in a cursed state (death, disease, animal predation, thorns, poison…etc.) creation groaning because of it and being restored at Christ’s 2nd coming. An excellent point you bring up here, the different authors (differentiated by status & time) prove the divinity of the text. As even a book of law kept in a household generationally would have drastically different life lessons therein. With the drunk father describing the importance of self gratification, the pagan son the importance of idol worship and spirituality, the poet grandson the importance of romance…etc. In two generations, of humans defining the best way to live, you’d have drastically different writings with zero cohesion. But, the Bible has thorough cohesion from timeline to moral law.

Right, man! To prove the Qur'an to be from the creator, they MUST say the Bible is corrupted. If they can do that, then anything the Qur'an claims becomes the undisputed truth. For example if the Qur'an were to say X-Man is their Allah, then that's settled.

This is an entirely unsubstantiated claim. You’re just blindly believing this KZbinr, because he shares your faith. I can tell you from experience that most Christians act exactly the same as the caricature of Muslims shown in the video. It is merely a consequence of making baseless claims, defending the claim makes you look dumb thus your only option is not to act at all. This however, makes you even less intelligent. If you aren’t seeking Challenges to your claims, you will never reach the truth. I’d think since you aren’t God, you don’t know everything. Therefore you need to keep seeking the truth above all!

@@turnonyourbrain9710 God is the Creator of sex and God could have made us procreate any other way if He wanted and He also placed love for money and sex in humans. Sex and money are two important motivators and things we need legislation about to know how to use and not. This makes more sense that Islam is the religion of God and not Christianity because it has those guidelines while the Bible is not only deficient in handling these issues but deficient in other ways as well and a deficient book can never be from God. If a billion dollar porn industry doesn't speak to the importance of us humans being taught what to do and not do with our money AND with our bodies, I don't know what else will. Christianity, as Chrisitan often say, is not a religion but a relationship with God. It is not mean to be part of government nor is it sufficient to be. Islam is thought. It has all the solutions for today's problems and is not only a religion and complete way of life but is a DIRECT relationship with God as Muslims pray directly to God. Not Mary, not saints, not Jesus. No one but God. Islam is a complete way of life that teaches us how to take care of our bodies individually and all of society collectively. This is not found in the Bible. The Quran is the inspiration and actual speech of God. The Bible is a collection of writings about Jesus and God that no one knows who wrote. Big difference. The Quran says, "I am your Lord, worship me", "I am thy Lord". The Bible says "I heard God say" or "God said" and has the personal greetings of humans between each other. No one is speaking in the Quran except God (the prophecy of Moses). What does God say in the Quran, and the male is not like the female. Women are not to dress like men and men like women. What does the Bible say, God is transhuman. God can be a human and God at the same time. The Bible is the originator of the trans movement. Impossible this is from God. We need Islam today.

How can we say it's the word of God when we don't know who wrote it? Dr. Dale Martin, Yale University: The four Gospels were published anonymously… they seem to have been written with no authors names attached. We don’t know how or when these names were attached to these Gospels’ that is lost to history. Dr. David E. Aune, University of Notre Dame: The four Gospels were written anonymously between A.D. 70 and 100, and assembled into a collection about A.D. 125. The authors did not provide them with titles, others added them later. Dr. Ben Witherington, Asbury Theological Seminary: Formally speaking, all four canonical Gospels are anonymous since their authors names are not mentioned anywhere within the context of the verses themselves… The superscript of each of the four Gospels is not an original part of the document.. it was likely later appended to the scroll for identification. Raymond E. Brown, PhD, Catholic Biblical scholar: The view that the evangelists were not themselves eyewitnesses of the public ministry of Jesus would be held in about 95% of contemporary [biblical] scholarship. The designation that you find in your New Testament, such as "the Gospel According to Matthew" are the results of late-second-century scholarship attempting to identify the authors of words that had no identification. No evangelist indicated who he was. The Bible says God has regret, which means God made mistakes. God does not send sinful prophets. The Bible says the Torah came through the evil and wicked hands of the Israelites who brought shame on their faces, provoke God to anger, go against whatever he tells them to do, kills their prophets and changes scripture. The Rabbis don't know who wrote it any more than Biblical scholars know who wrote the Gospels. Then if we look at the text of the Bible, why would we asribe all those problems in the Bible to God? Did God inspire he Gospel writers to contradict each other, to write in prophecies that cannot be found in the Torah, the mix up characters or does God have problems connecting to the Hebrew language in the Torah? This is not logical. When Peake's Commentary calls the book of Joshua a medley of mistakes and un-historic, do we think God doesn't know history. Dr. W Graham Scroggie, Moody Bible institute, Chicago, one of the most prestigious Christian evangelical missions in the world: “It is human, yet divine”; “...Yes, the Bible is human, although some out of zeal which is not according to knowledge, have denied this. Those books have passed through the minds of men, are written in the language of men, were penned by the hands of men and bear in their style the characteristics of men....” Kenneth Cragg, the Anglican Bishop of Jerusalem,. . . Not so the New testament . . . There is condensation and editing; there is choice reproduction and witness. The Gospels have come through the mind of the church behind the authors. They represent experience and history.....” (The Call of the Minaret”)

Even the most dyed-in-the-wool atheist who understood the question would admit that the Bible is the most influential book in history as a matter of course. There just isn’t any discussion about this and I don’t think Peterson thought he was making some great point when he said it. The Quran is a very important book as well, in the same way that Mein Kampf is a very important book in history.

Jordan Peterson: The Bible is the most influential book. Christians: so?
@mugikuyu9403
@mugikuyu9403 Жыл бұрын
Does he mean the Hebrew Bible (what Christian’s the Old Testament) or does he mean the Christian New Testament? If he means the first then I agree with him. If he means the second then I disagree. Christian’s can’t claim the Hebrew Bible as their own when it’s actually a work of Hebrew culture over hundreds of not thousands of years.
@TheWatchmanWebsite
@TheWatchmanWebsite Жыл бұрын
@@mugikuyu9403 Having proved that Islam FAILS to provide even ONE prophecy of the Messiah-from the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms-which MATCHES with Isa of the Qur'an (Al-Maidah 5:109-120), this post will show 5 prophecies which prove that it is Jesus of the New Testament who is the TRUE Jesus. Such a test using the previous scriptures is very necessary in verifying the identity of the true Jesus considering that Jesus stated that MOSES, the PROPHETS and the PSALMS wrote of him: He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the LAW OF MOSES, THE PROPHETS and the PSALMS.” (Luke 24:44). In the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms, the Messiah is variously prophecied as the "arm of the Lord", (Isaiah 53) "the root of Jesse" (Isaiah 2 and 11), "the Branch" (Isaiah 2 and Jeremiah 33:15), "the Lord our Righteous Savior" (Jeremiah 33:16) "the Annointed" "the Messenger of the covenant" (Malachi 3:1) Ruler of Israel who is everlasting (Micah 5:2), "the ONE from the tribe of Judah to whom the obedience of the nations will be his" (Genesis 49:10), "son of man" who will be worshipped forever by the nations (Daniel 7:13-14), “son of God" (1 Chronicles 17:11-15) and Mighty God (Isaiah 9:6) When one tries to apply this standard test on Isa, it is not surprising to find that Isa has no basis whatsoever in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms but rather that the 7th century Isa is FALSE and an imposter who is a product of gnostic and heretical sources which were floating about in the 7th century. If Isa is FALSE, it goes without saying that Allah, the Qur'an and Islam are FALSE. Is the CHRISTIAN belief [or that of the New Testament (NT)] that the MESSIAH is the SON OF GOD a new teaching of the NT invented by Paul, the apostles, anonymous Romans, Greek philosophers or the Church? Did the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms which taught that God is ONE, ever write about what the coming Messiah would BE and DO? [When the Torah says that God is ONE, the word in the Hebrew language is "ECHAD" in Deuteronomy 6:4, which means a single entity but made up of more than one part (unity). There is another Hebrew word from the same root-"YACHID" which means single)]. A study of the prophecies of the Messiah show that the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms who wrote of the Messiah were saying the SAME THING over many generations: the Messiah would come from the tribe of Judah, the tribe of the kings of Israel (from the line Jesse and David) and would be given a THRONE, SOVEREIGN POWER, GLORY and will RULE the NATIONS and the KINGDOM OF GOD FOREVER. PROPHECY NUMBER 1 In the book of Genesis (first book of the Torah/Law of Moses) when Jacob blesses his twelve sons, he blesses his son Judah and makes a prophecy about the ONE to whom "the obedience of the nations will be his" (also prophesied as the son of man/Son of God in Daniel 7:13-14, 1 Chronicles 17:11-15, Isaiah 9:6). Jesus is referred to as "the Lion of the tribe of Judah" (Revelation 5:5) What is the prophecy in the Law of Moses Jacob makes about the Messiah? Then Jacob called for his sons and said: “Gather around so I can tell you what will happen to you in days to come. Genesis 49:1 "Judah, your brothers will praise you; your hand will be on the neck of your enemies; your father’s sons will bow down to you. You are a LIONS CUB, JUDAH; you return from the prey, my son. Like a lion he crouches and lies down, like a lioness-who dares to rouse him? The SCEPTER will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until HE TO WHOM IT BELONGS SHALL COME and THE OBEDIENCE OF THE NATIONS SHALL BE HIS. Genesis 49:8‭-‬10 The ONE to come, the Messiah, will be king of all the nations in his second coming. PROPHECY NUMBER 2 The prophet Nathan, during the time of King David, is sent by God to deliver a prophecy to King David: "When your days are over and you go to be with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, one of your own sons, and I will establish his kingdom. He is the one who will build a house for me, and I will establish his throne FOREVER. I will be his FATHER, and he will be my SON. I will never take my love away from him, as I took it away from your predecessor. I will set him OVER MY HOUSE and MY KINGDOM forever; his throne will be established FOREVER.’ ” Nathan reported to David all the words of this entire revelation. 1 Chronicles 17:11‭-‬15 It is not surprising therefore that in the Gospel, Jesus often speaks of his Father and him (Jesus) being the Son. In the book of Moses (Genesis 49:1-10) we also read that the ONE would, unlike the other kings, be obeyed by the nations. The Son in this scripture will be king in the kingdom of God and he will be 'set over God's house' or temple. FULFILLMENT "But Christ is faithful as the Son OVER GOD’S HOUSE. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory. Hebrews 3:6 The house/temple of God is a house which is forever. It's a spiritual house, not a house made with hands by Solomon, king Herod (or the Kaaba claimed to have been built by Adam, Abraham and Ishmael). The house of God is the church, not a physical church building, but the collective of believers in Jesus Christ the Son of God. It is in the belief that he is the Son of God, that Jesus built his church (Matthew 16:18) and the gates of hell will not prevail over it. "Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief CORNERSTONE, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit." Ephesians 2:19‭-‬22 Believers are built together into a House of God, with Jesus as the CORNERSTONE of the House of God, for a dwelling place of God in the spirit. (Ephesians 2:19-22) The Kaaba and the Hajr e aswad (House of Allah and the black stone as its CORNERSTONE is a deception, imitation, mockery and blasphemy of the true house of God.

Conquests of cultures and lands through wars (otherwise known as Jihad) and forced conversions are the main pillars of the religion. I would say that even from a secular point of view (though I am a Christian, but that’s not the point) you have a strong case for Jesus Christ being the most significant person in all of history, based on the events of his life and his teachings that have redefined every aspect of society. Things like the concept of human rights, modern science and western civilization are direct products of Christianity. No other religion/philosophy/idea comes even close

Christianity is inadequate for running society which is why there's no such thing, as Christians say, a Christian society. Jesus did not come to have a kingdom on earth, he said and does not provide the necessary framework for government (which is why so-called Christian countries are secular and have a separation of state and church).
